v1 Batch 4 — Classes 31–40

Houses — Batch 4 (Classes 31–40)

1st House (Lagna)

  • Navamsa Lagna (Class 40): The first house of the Navamsa chart is the key reference for analyzing inherent abilities (per Jaimini's Upadesa Sutras). Planets in Lagna, in Rashi Drishti trine, or casting Rashi Drishti on it show the native's natural talents from past-life dharma.
  • Shubha Kartari on Lagna (Class 40): Benefic planets on both sides of Navamsa Lagna (2nd and 12th) create Shubha Kartari Yoga — sometimes even stronger protection than planets in the Lagna itself (per Sage Satyacharya, Satya Jatakam).
  • Mundane Lagna for Vimshottari (Class 38): In mundane charts, always use the Lagna's nakshatra (not Moon's) for Vimshottari Dasha starting point.

2nd House

  • Occult speech (Class 31): In D24 Siddhamsa, the 2nd house represents occult speech — mantras, sacred speech, ability to transmit hidden knowledge verbally.
  • Ashtakavarga/Resources (Class 37): 2nd house = resources; Kartari from 2nd and 4th shows how resources are managed.
  • Good Jupiter transit from Moon (Class 37): 2nd from Moon is a favorable transit house for Jupiter.

3rd House

  • Good Jupiter transit from Moon (Class 37): 5th from Moon is a favorable transit house for Jupiter.
  • Kartari from 5th and 9th (Class 40): Shows blessings (Bhagavathana/Vrishadhana). A Kartari from 5th and 9th around the Lagna is a blessings-indicator.

6th House

  • A6 (Arudha of 6th) + UL (Class 38): In mundane charts, when A6 (Arudha Pada of the 6th) combines with UL (Upagraha Lagna), it indicates war and significant loss/enmity.
  • Malefic good transit (Class 37): 6th from Moon is a favorable transit position for Mars and Saturn.
  • Viparita Raja Yoga (Class 38): 6th lord in exchange with 12th or 8th lord = reversal of fortune.

7th House

  • A6 + UL for war (Class 38): Combined with this 7th house indicator in mundane charts.
  • Labha decoded as 7th (Class 40): In Jaimini's Katapayadi encoding, the word "labha" (literally "gains/11th") actually encodes the 7th house via numerical decoding.

8th House

  • D20 controlling house (Class 31): The 8th house controls the D20 (Vimshamsa) divisional chart — the domain of spiritual practices, hidden transformation.
  • Occult sciences (Class 31): In D24, the 8th house represents hidden sciences, tantra, occult knowledge proper.
  • Viparita Raja Yoga (Class 38): 8th lord exchange with 6th or 12th lord = reversal of fortune.

  • D9 controlling house (Class 31): The 9th house controls the Navamsa (D9) — the domain of dharma, marriage, and past-life blessings.
  • Lakshmi Yoga (Class 36): Lagna lord + 9th lord together = great prosperity (Lakshmi Yoga).
  • Viparita Raja Yoga — Pakistan (Class 38): Jupiter as 9th lord in 12th, 12th lord in 9th = reversal of fortune through Jupiter Dasha.

11th House

  • Malefic good transit (Class 37): 11th from Moon is a favorable transit position for Mars and Saturn (upachaya).
  • Occult gains (Class 31): In D24, the 11th house = gains and fulfillment of occult desires.
  • Labha (11th) vs encoded 7th (Class 40): The literal Sanskrit meaning of "labha" is gains/11th house, but Jaimini's Katapayadi encoding of the word reveals the 7th house as intended.

12th House

  • Vimal Yoga (Class 36): 12th lord alone in 12th = Vimal Yoga (virtuous hidden conduct, purposeful expenditure).
  • Viparita Raja Yoga (Class 38): 12th lord exchange with 6th or 9th lord; specifically Jupiter (9th lord) in 12th with 12th lord in 9th = Pakistan example.

v1 Batch 9 — Classes 81–90

Houses — Batch 9 (classes 81–90)

class-81 | 9th House — Fortune (Bhagya)

Argala significance: The 9th house is the primary house for fortune. Parashara says: "Ninth house is Bhagya Udaya — if ninth house has strong Argala [3+ planets unobstructed], fortune will rise."

Analysis in Navamsa: The 9th house in Navamsa is even more important than the Rashi chart 9th house for evaluating divine fortune/blessings (Navamsa = chart of blessings from past life karma).

Planets with Argala on 9th in Navamsa:

  • Functional benefics with Argala → full fortune results in their Antardasha.
  • Functional malefics with Argala → half fortune results.
  • Rahu causing Badha on 9th → during Rahu Antardasha, fortune is obstructed.

class-82/83 | 6th House — Enemies, Disease, Service

Argala on A6 (Arudha of 6th house):

  • Multiple planets with unobstructed Argala on A6 = the native has persistent, tangible enemies throughout life.
  • Sun, Rahu, Ketu with unobstructed Argala on A6 = public enemies, fear from enemies (Shatru Bhayam).

Disease: Temporary, curable disease is 6th house; chronic/fatal disease is 8th house.

  • Aagantuka disease (external pathogen, short duration) = 6th house.
  • Long-term, systemic, difficult-to-treat disease = 8th house.

6th lord in 7th house: Can indicate some form of separation or loss in marriage, but not necessarily divorce.

class-82/83 | 8th House — Longevity, Chronic Disease, Transformation

For longevity analysis:

  • The 3rd and 8th houses sustain longevity (vitality and lifespan).
  • Malefics in the 3rd and 8th house weaken vitality and longevity.
  • 8th lord in 7th house = Maraka combination.
  • 7th lord in 8th house = even more severe Maraka (end of the marriage relationship).

Disease: Cancers, brain tumors, chronic systemic conditions = 8th house.

  • 7th lord in 8th, 8th lord in 7th = Maraka combinations.
  • 7th lord in 7th house (own house) = very strong Maraka; kills the person whose longevity is being analyzed.

class-81 | 1st House (Lagna) — Self, Intelligence

Argala on Lagna:

  • Strong Argala on Lagna = new beginnings in dharmic life are supported.
  • In Navamsa, Argala on Lagna by Venus and Rahu (unobstructed) = marriage-related new beginnings in those Antardashas.

Lagna lord: Always functionally benefic regardless of other house ownership.

class-81 | 5th House — Children, Creativity, Intelligence

Argala on 5th:

  • Planets with Argala on 5th house → childbirth potential in their dasha.
  • In annual Tithi Pravesh chart: 5th lord + Jupiter in 11th forming Argala on 5th = strong childbirth indicator.
  • 3+ planets with unobstructed Argala on 5th = childbirth is bound to happen.

Functional nature: 5th house ownership = functional benefic planet.

Debilitated 5th lord: Reduces creative/intellectual blessings; the planet wants to help but is weakened.

class-81 | 7th House — Marriage, Partnership

Argala on 7th (Navamsa):

  • For marriage, check Argala on 7th, 9th, Lagna, UL, and Venus in Navamsa.
  • Ketu as 2nd house Argala on 7th (from 12th position in Navamsa) = one Argala on 7th house; unobstructed if no planets in 8th (Ketu's obstructor position from 12th).

Argala from 11th: Planets in the 11th from a target house form Argala. Obstructors are in the 3rd.

Jupiter in 11th: Eleventh house Argala by Jupiter; if obstructed by Sun in 3rd, the Argala is cancelled.

class-82 | 12th House — Losses, Moksha, Hospitalization

12th lord in 8th: Viparita Raja Yoga — the 12th lord in another dusthana. Hospitalization, imprisonment, being immobilized (12th house = isolation, limitation).

Sun as 12th lord in 8th: If being eclipsed by Ketu and aspected by Rahu and Mars, severe hospitalization/disease threat.

class-84 | Kendras (4th, 7th, 10th) — Kendradhipati Dosha

Rule: Natural benefics (Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus) as lords of Kendra houses (4th, 7th, 10th) become functionally malefic due to Kendradhipati Dosha. Their benefic nature is diluted by the demands of Kendra lordship.

Exception: Lagna (1st house) lord is always benefic — Kendradhipati Dosha does not apply to the Lagna lord.

Natural malefics (Sun, Mars, Saturn) as Kendra lords = neutral (not made more malefic by Kendra ownership).

class-88 | Badhaka Sthana

Definition: The obstacle-giving house for each movable, fixed, and dual sign lagna:

  • For movable lagna (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn): 11th house is Badhaka.
  • For fixed lagna (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius): 9th house is Badhaka.
  • For dual lagna (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces): 7th house is Badhaka.

Context from class: Moon in Badhaka sthana for a specific lagna + afflicted by malefics = danger to mother. Mercury in Badhaka sthana of D30 = obstacle to mental clarity.

Notes on House Connections Taught in Classes 21–30

House Argala on Why Important
2nd from any H That house Resources/food Argala
4th from any H That house Direction/path Argala
11th from any H That house Fructification/certification Argala (strongest)
3rd from 4th (= 6th) Virodha (opposition) Argala on 4th

Badhakasthana by sign type:

  • Movable signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn): 11th house is Badhaka
  • Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius): 9th house is Badhaka
  • Dual signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces): 7th house is Badhaka

Maraka houses:

  • 2nd house: Maraka by resource deprivation
  • 7th house: Maraka by direct opposition to life
  • Malefics in 2nd/7th or ruling these houses = maraka planets

Arudha Pada placement rule (universal):

  • Count from house to its lord = N houses
  • Count same N houses from the lord
  • If result falls in same house or its 7th: take the 10th from original count instead

    • 5L in 7H: Intelligence connected to partnerships; children from spouse
    • 5L in 8H: PVR's own case — occult/hidden intelligence; allergic disease; children with health complications
    • 5L in 9H: Blessed intelligence; dharmic children; extremely fortunate (trine in trine)

    • 5L in 11H: Gains from intelligence; children connected to gains
    • 5L in 12H: Intelligence toward moksha/liberation; children abroad or problematic

    • 6L in 8H: Viparita RY for enemies (wins over them) but has diseases (VRY DOES NOT apply to health)
    • 6L in 9H: Enemies among religious/father figures; dharmic disputes
    • 6L in 10H: Career through service/competition; Upachaya RY for career
    • 6L in 11H: Gains from overcoming enemies; profits through competition
    • 6L in 12H: Bad habits, addictions; hates scholars; Viparita — some material benefit eventually
  • Critical rule: When evaluating 6L placements for HEALTH, Viparita RY does not apply. The person still gets the disease.

House 31.5 — Seventh House (Kalatra): Spouse, Partnership, and Desire

  • Significations covered in batch:
    • Spouse, marriage

    • 7L in 8H: Spouse brings transformation; longevity of marriage connected to hidden/occult; sudden changes in partnership
    • 7L in 9H: Dharmic, principled spouse; lucky in marriage; "starter vs. finisher" — begins many partnerships with good intentions but may not complete all
    • 7L in 10H: Marriage through career; spouse is like a business partner; public marriage
    • 7L in 11H: Marriage brings gains; wife brings wealth; may have daughters; gains from partnerships
    • 7L in 12H: Foreign spouse; marriage connected to distant places; spending on/through spouse
  • Tridosha pattern: 7L strong in 1H or 7H → Vata constitution tendency (outgoing, dynamic, air-like).
  • Digbala note: Saturn has Digbala in 7H — when Saturn is the 7L, its Digbala placement in its own house creates slow, persistent, long-lasting but possibly cold/disciplined partnerships.

House 31.6 — Eighth House (Randhra): Longevity, Secrets, and Transformation

  • Source: class-34, class-35, class-36, class-39
  • Significations covered in batch:
    • Longevity (primary signification)
    • Sudden events, unexpected crises
    • Inheritance, other people's money
    • Occult, hidden knowledge, secrets
    • In-laws (spouse's family)
    • Chronic diseases, surgery
    • Transformation and rebirth
  • Key teaching: PVR's own chart — 5L (Saturn) in 8H (before Neechabhanga analysis). This placement gives occult intelligence and interest in hidden/ancient knowledge, but also brings health vulnerability (allergic bronchitis) because 5L in 8H puts intelligence in the house of chronic disease.
  • VRY exception: When 8L is in 6H (VRY situation), the diseases are NOT neutralized — the person still suffers them. The VRY only means the person won't die from the disease and may eventually win over enemies.
  • Mundane (class-40): 8H = sudden crises for a nation. Jupiter + Rahu in 8H of US 2009 chart = debt crisis, hidden financial rot, sudden systemic shocks.

House 31.7 — Tenth House (Karma): Career, Reputation, and Government

  • Source: class-31, class-32, class-33, class-34, class-35, class-36, class-40
  • Significations covered in batch:
    • Career, life purpose (karma)
    • Public reputation and conduct
    • Ruling authority, government
    • Father (in Jaimini tradition; in Parashara, 9H is father)
    • Digbala house for Sun and Mars
  • As the most-used Bhavat Bhavam reference: PVR uses the 10H as a secondary Lagna constantly throughout the batch to reveal how various house-lord placements affect career, reputation, and public standing.
  • Key insight: "From the tenth house, the sixth lord in first house becomes the ninth lord (trine) in fourth (quadrant) — a partial Raja Yoga for career."
  • Mundane (class-40): 10H in Dasamsa = ruling government/ruling party. 3H in Dasamsa = opposition party. The relative strength of these two houses predicts political balance of power.

House 31.8 — Eleventh House (Labha): Gains, Desires Fulfilled, and Social Network

  • Source: class-37, class-38
  • Significations covered in batch:
    • Gains, profits, income
    • Fulfillment of desires
    • Elder siblings
    • Friends, social circle
    • Part of Kama Trikona (3H, 7H, 11H)
  • Key teaching: The eleventh house lord is a MALEFIC (functionally), even though planets IN the eleventh house give gains. Upachaya lords (3, 6, 11) are all malefic for the Lagna. This is a frequently misunderstood distinction.
  • Pattern: Multiple 7L placements showing marriage brings gains (7L in 2H, 7L in 11H) — the eleventh house as the second house from the 10H shows gains from karma; as the fifth from the 7H, it shows children of marriage.

House 31.9 — Twelfth House (Vyaya): Loss, Liberation, and Foreign Matters

  • Source: class-33, class-36, class-38
  • Significations covered in batch:
    • Expenditure, loss, spending
    • Moksha (liberation), spiritual life
    • Foreign countries, distant places
    • Bed pleasures (sleep, sex)
    • Vimala Yoga: 12L in 12H — pure expenditure/renunciation
  • Key connection to teeth (class-38): Twelfth house rules the teeth (as the 6th from the 7H, which rules the mouth via the 2nd from Lagna connection). 7L in 12H or planets in the 12H affecting oral health is a recurring observation.
  • Counter-argala: Planets in 12H from any reference house have counter-argala on the 11H from that house (opposing the gains).

House 31.10 — Mundane House Significations

  • Source: class-40
  • Teaching: In Lunar New Year charts (and political mundane charts), the twelve houses take on specific national/political meanings:
    • 1H = the nation itself, its people and overall health
    • 2H = national treasury, economy, banking
    • 3H = opposition party, media, communication infrastructure
    • 4H = agriculture, land, masses, real estate
    • 5H = diplomacy, stock markets, speculation

    • 12H = national expenditure, losses, secret intelligence activities

v2 Batch 8 — Classes 71–80

Houses — Batch 8 (v71–v80)

Master sheet capturing house significations and philosophy taught in this batch.

1st House (Lagna / Tanu Bhava)

  • Category: Both kendra AND trikona → counted as trikona for beneficence
  • Fundamental meaning: Who you are; your body; your overall personality; the foundation of existence
  • Key teaching (v71): Because lagna is simultaneously a kendra AND a trikona, it is particularly auspicious (viśeṣeṇa śubapradam). The lagna lord always gives benefic results unless also owning a dussthana.
  • In Graha Pravesh muhurta: Lagna must be strong for any good results to manifest; it is the foundation on which everything else rests.
  • Nabhasa yoga context: First house as seed of Yupa, Sara, and Nauka yogas—determines the "flavor" of the planetary concentration.

2nd House (Dhana Bhava)

  • Category: Neutral (non-committal)—judge by other house owned and association
  • Fundamental meaning: Accumulated resources; family; speech; wealth
  • Maraka house: Lords of the 2nd house are primary marakas (killers); planets associated with the 2nd house or its lord can become killers.
  • Key teaching (v71): Second house is the house of accumulation. Whether the 2nd lord is benefic or malefic depends on: (1) the other house it owns, (2) its associations.
  • Wealth context (v71): The 5th and 9th houses are called "viśeṣadhanaṁ" (special wealth) because abilities and dharma function as currency—they can be "spent" to get things.

3rd House (Sahaja / Parakrama / Vikrama Bhava)

  • Category: Malefic (tri-shadaya lord)
  • Fundamental meaning: Initiative; drive; courage; desire (seed of desire—first kama trikona); communication; siblings; short journeys
  • Key teaching (v71): Third house is the "seed of desire"—the first house of the kama trikona (3, 7, 11). It is the place of Vikrama (valor, determination). Third lord makes you say "I want this, I want that."
  • Vitality house: 3rd house is the house of vitality (3rd = vitality; 8th = longevity; these are the houses of life, not maraka houses). Lords of 3rd and 8th are therefore NOT marakas but givers of life.
  • Service context: 3rd lord in 6th or 6th lord in 3rd = initiative + fighting = person fights for their initiative (good combination for career involving competition).

4th House (Sukha / Matru Bhava)

  • Category: Kendra (neutral for all planets)
  • Fundamental meaning: Direction in life; peace of mind; comfort; mother; education; home; the inner compass
  • Fundamental principle (v71): The core meaning of the 4th house is DIRECTION. Education gives direction. Mother gives direction. Having a direction gives sukha (contentment). The 4th house is about knowing where you are going and feeling at peace with that.
  • Sukha explained: Sukha is not physical comforts but the feeling of having direction and control. "You know what you're doing" = sukha.
  • Nabhasa yoga: 4th and 10th house occupied by all planets = Vihanga (bird) yoga—workaholic, highly industrious.
  • In muhurta: 4th house of the Graha Pravesh chart must be strong because it shows the house itself. Fourth lord in 10th + aspecting 4th = strong.
  • Moksha trikona: 4th, 8th, 12th = Moksha trikona. Ketu in any of these houses is conducive to seeking moksha.

5th House (Putra / Vidya Bhava)

  • Category: Trikona (benefic)
  • Fundamental meaning: Past-life good deeds (purva punya); abilities and talents; children; intelligence; scholarships; creativity
  • Purva punya explanation (v71): Fifth house is the fruits of good karma from past lives manifesting as current abilities and strengths. These come EASILY—the person doesn't have to work for them; they're gifts.
  • Special wealth (v71): Called "viśeṣadhanaṁ" because abilities are a special kind of currency you can use to get things in life.
  • Education chart (D24): Fifth house in D24 shows scholarship, smartness, and intellectual recognition. Fifth lord + ninth lord aspecting the 5th = good academic results.

6th House (Shatru / Roga Bhava)

  • Category: Malefic (tri-shadaya lord)
  • Fundamental meaning: Enemies; diseases; obstacles; fighting spirit; service/employment
  • Fighting spirit (v71, v72): Sixth house is the house of overcoming enemies. The 6th lord makes you fight obstacles and hopefully emerge victorious. Result depends on the planet's strength—could win or lose.
  • Service vs. business: Sixth house = service/employment (working hard under someone's direction). Seventh house = business/desires (pursuing one's own agenda). A doctor running a clinic that requires round-the-clock service = strong 6th house emphasis.
  • Key distinction (v74): When taking 6th house as the "lagna of service," you can analyze career stability: 7th from 6th = break in service; 2nd from 6th = loss of service status.

7th House (Kalatra / Yuvati Bhava)

  • Category: Kendra (neutral)
  • Fundamental meaning: Desires; interactions with the world; partnerships; marriage; business dealings; the path of desire fulfillment
  • Special sukha (v71): Called "viśeṣasukhaṁ" because seventh house interactions with the world give a sense of direction and purpose (a special kind of comfort).
  • Kama trikona: 7th is the middle kama trikona house (3 = seed of desire, 7 = nurtured desire, 11 = fulfilled desire). When Moon owns 7th for Capricorn lagna, it amplifies desires excessively—making Moon malefic because it makes the person overly attached to desires.
  • Maraka house: Lords of the 7th and 2nd are the primary marakas (killers). Seventh lord in 8th = maraka placement for service when 6th house is taken as reference lagna.
  • Business indicator: Seventh house of business is activated by planets showing desires and ambition.

8th House (Randhra / Ayu Bhava)

  • Category: Neutral—judge by other house owned and association; slightly pulls toward inauspiciousness
  • Fundamental meaning: Hidden things; vulnerabilities; tapasya; sudden changes; longevity; chronic diseases; hard work; spiritual transformation
  • Tapasya house (v71): Eighth house is the house of working hard under duress, of penance, of making sacrifices. It is the 12th house from the 9th (bhagya), hence shows loss of fortune OR intentional giving for dharma.
  • For Sun and Moon: Ownership of 8th is not harmful because soul and mind are here to work hard and be freed.
  • For other planets: If the 8th lord's other house owned is benefic + well-associated, he can become benefic. Otherwise neutral to malefic.
  • Moksha trikona: Part of the Moksha trikona (4, 8, 12). Ketu in 8th is conducive to spiritual transformation.
  • Chronic disease: 8th house lord in Bhadaka-sthana + 8th house ownership = chronic, difficult-to-diagnose diseases.

9th House (Dharma / Bhagya Bhava)

  • Category: Trikona (benefic)
  • Fundamental meaning: Dharma; fortune; blessings from past life; father; guru; higher knowledge; pilgrimage; long journeys
  • Key teaching (v71): Ninth house is the house of dharma—what you have followed in the past and are following now. Dharma protects you. The 9th lord always gives auspicious results because dharma is a protector.
  • Special wealth: Called "viśeṣadhanaṁ" along with the 5th house. The goodwill you've built through dharma is a currency you can spend.
  • Raja yoga emphasis: The 9th lord in the 10th house or the 9th and 10th lords together = dharma-karma adhipati yoga. When 9th lord is exalted in the 11th house = excellent for fortune and gains.

10th House (Karma / Rajya Bhava)

  • Category: Kendra (neutral)
  • Fundamental meaning: Work; career; action in the world; status; reputation; public life; what you get done
  • Special sukha (v71): Called "viśeṣasukhaṁ" along with 7th house because the work you do in the world gives a sense of purpose and direction (a special comfort).
  • Vishnu sthana: Tenth house is one of the four Vishnu-sthanas (1, 4, 7, 10)—houses of effort and productive action (not passive blessings like the Lakshmi-sthanas which are trines).
  • Service Lagna: When analyzing service/employment stability, taking 10th house as the Lagna of career shows specific career yoga.
  • Nabhasa yoga: 4th and 10th occupied = Vihanga (bird) yoga. All planets in 10th area = Danda yoga (karma yogi through persistent work).

11th House (Labha / Aya Bhava)

  • Category: Malefic (tri-shadaya lord)
  • Fundamental meaning: Fulfillment of desires; gains; elder siblings; social networks; income
  • Key teaching (v71): Eleventh house is the fulfillment of desires—the result of all the initiation (3rd) and fighting (6th). Getting what you want still requires active pursuit; it doesn't come by itself. Hence the lord is malefic.
  • Kama trikona: 11th is the final kama trikona house (fulfillment). Part of the 3-7-11 axis of desire pursuit.

12th House (Vyaya / Moksha Bhava)

  • Category: Neutral—judge by other house owned and association
  • Fundamental meaning: Loss; expenditure; foreign lands; isolation; moksha; liberation; charitable giving; sleep; giving up
  • Key teaching (v71): Twelfth house has two aspects—loss/lack (12th from 9th = loss of bhagya) AND intentional giving/renunciation. It can show both tragic loss AND holy sacrifice.
  • Twelfth-lord Sun: When Sun (soul) is 12th lord, career tends toward foreign lands, charitable work, renunciation, or loss. Person needs to be in a foreign country or doing renunciatory/giving-oriented work to succeed.
  • Moksha trikona: Twelfth is part of the Moksha trikona (4, 8, 12). Ketu in 12th = conducive to liberation. Parashara specifically mentions Ketu's influence on the 12th for moksha.

v2 Batch 9 — Classes 81–90

Houses Master Sheet — Batch 9 (v2, classes 81–90)

This sheet records new observations, rules, and examples about individual houses from classes 81–90.

1st House (Lagna)

As one of three references: The Lagna represents the physical body and the native's primary identity. For three-reference analysis, a planet with connections to the relevant house from Lagna gives a stronger physical/material manifestation of the event.

Papakartari on Lagna: Saturn and Mars forming Papakartari (one in the 12th, one in the 2nd from Lagna) = serious weakness of Lagna. Worse if both are retrograde AND both are functional malefics (6th and 8th lords). Pranay's Prashna (class-89): retrograde Saturn and Mars as 6th and 8th lords forming Papakartari = affliction on the question's overall potential.

Ketu and Rahu in Lagna of D24: In the S Ram D24 Prashna chart (class-89): Lagna contained Moon, Saturn, Mars, and Mercury = many strong forces — complicated but not terrible; Jupiter (5th lord) aspecting Lagna was protecting. "So many planets in Lagna shows some serious issue, especially Moon-Saturn combination."

Lagna lord in 8th house (natal): Lagna lord debilitated in the 8th house with Maraka lord = problems related to that house's signification (for Lagna = vitality, overall life development). Pranay's natal: Lagna lord Venus debilitated in 8th with Maraka Mercury = stunted development noted from very early.

2nd House

Speech and communication: The 2nd house governs speech and communication. The 2nd lord's strength, along with Mercury and Jupiter having aspects on the 2nd house, determines speech quality. For Tula Lagna in D24: Saturn in 2nd and Mars (2nd lord) debilitated = NOT conducive to being a good speaker. For Kanya Lagna: Venus (2nd lord) in Cancer (friendly sign) + Jupiter aspecting 2nd house = good speech potential. (Aditya chart, class-90.)

2nd house from Arudha: Planets in the 2nd house from an Arudha "feed" that Arudha. In Vivekananda's D10, Moon, Venus, and Jupiter were in the 2nd from A5 (Scorpio = A5; Capricorn = 2nd from it; Jupiter, Venus, Moon in Scorpio = they are actually in... correction — these planets were in the 9th-10th zone near A5 and AL). Feeding Arudha gives tangible results to that Arudha's themes.

4th House

Education (D4 and D24): 4th house in D4 = property and established residence. 4th house in D24 = basic (school-level) education. The 4th lord's placement shows the quality of early education. 4th lord in 5th house (from any reference) = education connects to fame/recognition.

4th lord in 8th house (D12): 4th lord in 8th in the D12 (parents chart) = instability in the home environment. S Ram's D12: 4th lord Venus in 8th/9th house = parental home was unstable. (Venus was on the exact border of 8th-9th houses depending on the exact birth time.)

5th House

Power and political authority (from all three references in SKC): For political success, the 5th house must be highlighted from ALL three progressed references in the SKC Dasha year. This is the most important single finding from the Romney political analysis (class-87). Jupiter with some 5th house connection from 2 of 3 references (but NOT all three) = possible but uncertain political victory. Romney won the governorship (2002) in Rahu-Venus with Venus having 5th connections from all 3; lost the 2012 presidential election running Mercury Dasha with Mercury being malefic from all 3 references.

5th lord in D24 (education achievement): 5th lord strong in D24 = academic brilliance. 5th lord in Lagna with 9th lord = exceptional academic fortune (Lakshmi Yoga for education, S Ram chart). 5th lord debilitated in Kendra = moderate intelligence, compensated by being in a quadrant. 5th lord debilitated in Dusthana = intellectual challenges.

5th house from all three references confirms child: In D7, for a Dasha to give a child, the timing planet should connect to the 5th house from all three references (Lagna, Sun, Moon). Rahu giving child in RKG's chart (class-85): from Sun = 5th lord; from Moon = 5th lord's dispositor + aspecting 5th; from Lagna = ideally 5th lord or aspecting 5th (Cancer Lagna in D7 = Ketu as 5th lord, Rahu aspects Ketu).

7th House

Dasha lord aspecting 7th from Moon: When the Dasha lord aspects the 7th house from Moon (in Navamsa/D9), it is a connection for marriage from one reference (Moon). But if the same Dasha lord does not connect to the 7th from Lagna or Sun, it alone is insufficient. All three references must show marriage connection for a confident marriage prediction.

Mahadasha with 7th house connection from only 1 reference: This is not enough to confidently predict marriage. In Mudga's Navamsa (class-84): Mars aspects 7th from Moon, but not from Sun or Lagna → Mars Dasha gave career success, not marriage.

7th lord from A9 in D20 (spiritual partnerships): The 7th lord in D20 being in the 9th house = spiritual interactions with guru. Moon as 7th lord in 9th of D20 (Cancer in Pisces) in Vivekananda's D20 = Moon Mahadasha brought the guru. "7th lord shows interactions related to spiritual matters; 9th is guru guidance."

8th House

8th lord in Navamsa = marriage obstacles: 8th lord as Mahadasha running during marriage age = anxiety and frustration around marriage rather than marriage. 8th lord's primary job is transformation, sudden change, and crisis. Even if the 8th lord has some 7th house link (from Moon), the 8th house themes dominate. Mudga and Shilpa charts (classes 83–84) demonstrated this.

8th lord in D12 with 9th lord in 12th = father away: A specific combination for father being absent, divorced, or not living with the native. Seen in S Ram's D12 (class-89): 8th lord Saturn with 9th lord Jupiter in 12th house = "Jupiter is ninth lord is in the twelfth house of being away or loss or rejection, and he is afflicted by eighth lord Saturn... can show being away from father."

Upadesha Raja Yoga (8th lord in 12th): Despite being a "bad placement," 8th lord in 12th house forms Upadesha Raja Yoga — a combination for power gained through suffering and transformation. Most relevant for D10 political/career analysis.

9th House

9th house as guru in D20: The 9th house in D20 = the form of God or divine teacher that can help the native. In Prashna analysis, the 9th lord of D20 Prashna chart shows which deity's worship is most efficacious for the problem at hand. Exalted 9th lord in D20 Prashna = strong divine protection available.

9th house in D24 = higher/professional education: The 9th house of D24 shows the type and quality of higher and professional education. Sun in 9th of D24 = medical/healing education. Mars in 9th of D24 = engineering or surgically-related fields. Jupiter in 9th of D24 = philosophical, law, or academic research. Mercury/Jupiter in 9th of D24 = IT, economics, communications.

9th lord with foreign travel (D4): 9th lord + connections to 7th, 12th, and Badhaka from all three references = primary planet for foreign travel in D4. Jupiter as 9th lord in NMK's D4 (class-85/86) with connections to all these houses from Lagna, Moon, and Sun = Jupiter Dasha = being in the US for the entire dasha.

10th House

10th lord from all three references for career timing: Mars as 10th lord in the 11th house (Mudga D10, Aquarius Lagna) aspecting 5th lord Mercury = success. From Sun: 9th lord Mars in 10th house = Raja Yoga. From Moon: 5th house is aspected by Mars. Triple connection to both 10th and 5th confirms Mars Dasha = career success (class-84).

9th lord in 10th house (both references): When the 9th lord (fortune) is placed in the 10th house (career) from BOTH Lagna and Sun (or any two references), it creates a double Raja Yoga for career. Ketu as 9th lord in D10's 10th house (Romney, Pisces D10 Lagna, class-87) = Ketu in 10th shows career power through the 9th lord.

11th House

11th from Arudha = strongest planet for that Arudha: Per Parashara, any planet in the 11th house from an Arudha Pada will strongly promote it. This is the single most powerful position for a planet relative to any Arudha. Better than the 1st (same as Arudha), 2nd (feeding), or 9th (fortune for) — the 11th gives direct certification and fulfillment.

11th house from Moon with Yogakaraka: Yogakaraka in the 11th from Moon = exceptional material gain. This position in D10 (Romney's Mars from Moon in 11th with business/gain planets) = financial empire built during Mars Dasha.

12th House

12th house and Lagna lord's agenda: Lagna lord in the 12th house does not primarily give foreign residence — it gives the person a dharma of self-discovery and returning to roots (despite the foreign placement). The 12th location is colored by the lord's primary agenda (Lagna = native place). Only if the Lagna lord has secondary connections to 9th and 7th can it also trigger foreign themes.

8th lord in 12th = Upadesha Raja Yoga: A notable exception to the usual "8th lord = bad" rule. 8th lord in the 12th = transformation → withdrawal → eventual power. Venus as 8th lord in Romney's D10 12th house gave this yoga, with Venus Antardasha in Rahu Mahadasha = governorship of Massachusetts.

9th lord in 12th = father separated (D12): 9th lord (father) in the 12th house (loss, foreign, away) = father is absent or geographically separated from the native. Especially when also afflicted by the 8th lord.

v2 Batch 10 — Classes 91–100

Houses Master Sheet — Batch 10 (v2, classes 91–99)

House 1 (Lagna / Ascendant)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Lagna, Tanu Bhava
Domain Physical body, self-identity, temperament, the "actor" in life
Kosha Annamaya Kosha — the physical layer
Natural karaka Sun
Key planets Lagna lord (varies by sign); Sun (natural karaka)
Functional signification Health of the physical body; the lens through which one acts in the world (vs. Moon = perception); Vargottama lagna = very strong self and body
Class-91 notes 15-degree cusp rule: Lagna degree = midpoint of 1st house, not start
Class-99 notes Vargottama lagna + Jupiter aspect = strongest possible 1st house; for go-getter charts, Vimshottari from Lagna is more relevant than from Moon. Leo lagna: Sun is lagna lord, enemy of Saturn — Saturn antardasha always has friction but lagna lord Sun in its own dasha protects.

House 2 (Dhana Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Dhana Bhava
Domain Wealth, accumulated resources, speech, family, food, right eye
Natural karaka Jupiter (wealth); Venus (luxury)
Key planets 2nd lord; planets in 2nd
Functional signification Primary Maraka house (death-inflicting) — 2nd lord's dasha can threaten life; in divisional charts, 2nd lord from a target house is Maraka for that house's area (e.g., 2nd from 9th = Maraka for education in D24)
Class-94 notes Jupiter as 2nd lord = primary maraka in coma chart
Class-99 notes Second house from 9th house in D24 analysis: contains Mercury (7th lord from 9th), making Mercury a Maraka for the education; Aries Narayana Dasha middle-third (Mercury's period) = education ending

House 3 (Parakrama / Sahaja Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Parakrama Bhava, Sahaja Bhava
Domain Courage, initiative, siblings, short journeys, communication, hands, skills
Natural karaka Mars (initiative); Mercury (communication)
Key planets 3rd lord; Mars; planets in 3rd
Functional signification Domain of natural malefics — Mars, Saturn, Sun do well here; benefics (Jupiter) weaken in 3rd (suppress initiative). In Argala framework: 3rd is the cancellation position for 11th Argala (normally), but natural malefics there create Yuti Argala (forceful intervention).
Class-99 notes All Kama Trikonas (7th lord Moon, 11th lord Jupiter) converge on Mars in the 3rd house → amplifies Mars's initiative/aggression for career. In D10: 5th lord Jupiter + 10th lord Sun = Raja Yoga in 3rd house (initiative) for Marine career chart. In D24: Sun + Mars in 3rd from A9 = Yuti Argala on education Arudha.

House 4 (Sukha Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Sukha Bhava, Bandhu Bhava
Domain Mother, home, happiness, fixed assets, vehicles, direction, comfort
Natural karaka Moon
Key planets 4th lord; Moon; planets in 4th

Class-94 notes D4 used for foreign travel / property timing; Leo vs. Taurus D4 lagna comparison for birth time rectification
Class-99 notes Moon as 9th lord in 4th from 6th house (D10, taken as lagna) = Raja Yoga in the house of direction = military career gives a sense of purpose/direction

House 5 (Putra / Trikona Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Putra Bhava
Domain Children, intelligence, creativity, speculation, past-life merit, mantra, devotion
Natural karaka Jupiter
Key planets 5th lord; Jupiter; Venus in D7 for children
Functional signification Primary trikona — 5th lord in yoga with 10th lord = Raja Yoga. 5th lord in D7 5th house as Yogakaraka = children in that planet's dasha.
Class-95 notes Venus as Yogakaraka in D7 5th house = both children born in Venus dasha
Class-99 notes In D10 (Marine chart): 5th lord Mars (exalted) and 10th lord Sun in Raja Yoga → career accomplishment. 5th lord Jupiter (debilitated) and 9th lord Mars in Raja Yoga in D24 → education Raja Yoga

House 6 (Shatru / Roga Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Shatru Bhava, Roga Bhava, Ari Bhava
Domain Enemies, disease, daily work/tasks, debts, legal disputes, servants, competition
Natural karaka Mars (enemies); Saturn (servants/hard work)
Key planets 6th lord; Mars (for Pitta disease); Saturn (for Vata disease); planets in 6th
Functional signification Dusthana — but for military/competitive careers, 6th house as D10 reference is the correct primary career house. 6th lord in 6th = good (contained energy). 6th lord exalted = dangerous (amplified enemy agenda). 6th lord aspecting lagna lord = Dur Yoga
Class-99 notes 6th house as D10 career reference for Marine chart: Mars in own sign/exalted in 6th = core career energy. 6th lord from 10th house (reference) = Saturn as 2nd and 3rd lord = Maraka in D10 = career ending potential.

House 7 (Kalatra / Yuvati Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Yuvati Bhava, Kalatra Bhava
Domain Spouse, business partners, public, open enemies, foreign travel, Bhadaka (for dual signs)
Natural karaka Venus (spouse); Jupiter (for female charts)
Key planets 7th lord; Venus; Darakaraka (Jaimini)
Functional signification Bhadaka house for dual signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces lagnas). 7th lord in lagna OR lagna lord in 7th = Visaptati condition for D10 career dasha. Hora lord in 7th of Tithi Pravesh = marriage favored.
Class-96 notes Darakaraka-Atmakaraka in Shashtashaka (6/8) from each other in Navamsa = soul-level incompatibility
Class-97 notes Rahu in 7th Navamsa = can give marriage in Rahu dasha with supporting confirmation
Class-98 notes Marriage compatibility includes 7th-lord analysis and Venus-to-Venus Shashtashaka check

House 8 (Randhra / Ayu Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Randhra Bhava, Mrityu Sthana
Domain Longevity, transformation, hidden wealth, sudden events, chronic disease, occult, inheritance
Natural karaka Saturn (longevity aspect); Mars (acute events)
Key planets 8th lord; Saturn; Ketu; planets in 8th
Functional signification 8th lord in 8th = neutral (Viparita aspect — contained). 8th lord in other dusthanas = Viparita Raja Yoga potential. 8th lord in good houses = problematic. Moon in 8th near Amavasya = health vulnerability.
Class-94 notes Jupiter as 2nd lord in Prasna: 8th house activation through stationary Saturn transit on D30 Mars (6th lord) = coma trigger
Class-99 notes Moon in 8th in Pisces (8th from Lagna for Leo Lagna chart) = future health challenge in Moon Mahadasha (from 2040). Saturn as 12th and 11th lord in 8th from Moon = health risk from Moon's perspective.

House 9 (Dharma / Bhagya Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Dharma Bhava, Bhagya Sthana
Domain Fortune, father, higher education (bachelor's in D24), spirituality, long journeys, dharma, guru
Natural karaka Jupiter (fortune); Sun (father)
Key planets 9th lord; Jupiter; Sun; planets in 9th
Functional signification Primary trikona (strongest = natural indicator of fortune and protection). 9th lord in 9th = ideal placement. From A9 in D24: Argala on A9 = tangible academic achievement. Bhadaka house for fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius lagnas).
Class-91 notes Father seen from 9th from Lagna AND 9th from Sun; stronger reference wins
Class-99 notes 9th house in D24 = Pisces (bachelor's education). Pisces Narayana Dasha in D24 started the engineering degree. Jupiter aspecting 9th house from 7th = confirms education in Jupiter Vimshottari dasha.

House 10 (Karma / Rajya Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Karma Bhava, Rajya Sthana
Domain Career, social standing, public recognition, profession, boss, government, achievement
Natural karaka Sun (authority); Saturn (laborious career); Jupiter (respected career); Mercury (intellectual career)
Key planets 10th lord; planets in 10th; Amatyakaraka (Jaimini)
Functional signification Strongest kendra (angular house). In D10: 10th house shows accomplishments. Exalted Venus in 10th of D10 = very powerful career indicator. For military/competitive careers, 6th house is the primary reference instead. Bhavat Bhavam of 6th house (10th from 6th = 3rd) is also relevant.
Class-91 notes D10 Visaptati activated when 7th-1st lord exchange present; career peaks align to D10 Visaptati rather than Vimshottari
Class-99 notes In D10 Marine chart: exalted Venus in 10th + Moola Trikona Rahu in 9th aspecting Venus = Venus-Rahu spy/investigative indicator. Taking 10th house as lagna: 5th-9th lord Raja Yoga is the key combination for conventional careers.

House 11 (Labha / Ayaya Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Labha Bhava, Ayaya Sthana
Domain Gains, fulfillment, elder siblings, large organizations, social networks, income
Natural karaka Jupiter (gains); Saturn (steady income)
Key planets 11th lord; Jupiter; planets in 11th
Functional signification Eleventh house Argala on a reference = fulfillment of that area. 11th is Kama Trikona (desire fulfillment). 11th is also Bhavat Bhavam of 6th (6th from 6th = 11th) — can show some disease tendency indirectly.
Class-99 notes Jupiter as 11th lord in 7th house aspecting Mars (3rd lord) in Aries = Kama Trikona connection to Mars

House 12 (Vyaya / Moksha Bhava)

Property Value
Sanskrit name Vyaya Bhava, Moksha Sthana
Domain Loss, expenditure, foreign residence, liberation, sleep, spiritual retreat, isolation
Natural karaka Saturn (renunciation); Ketu (moksha)
Key planets 12th lord; Saturn; Ketu; planets in 12th
Functional signification Dusthana — 12th lord in 12th = good (Viparita aspect). 12th lord in lagna = Dur Yoga (Lagna-12th lords exchanging). 12th house in D24 = can show loss of educational focus or dropping out.
Class-93 notes 12th lord (Ketu) and lagna lord (Jupiter) exchange in D10 = Dur Yoga for career (Ketu dasha-Jupiter antardasha problematic)
Class-99 notes In D10: Ketu as 12th lord in lagna from 10th reference = Dur Yoga. Sun as 6th lord in 12th from D10 lagna = 6th lord in 12th = not a Maraka for education = acceptable placement.
