🔄 Recap: What is Karakamsha?

The sign occupied by Atmakaraka in any divisional chart is called the Karakamsha (or Swamsha) for that chart.

• Swamsha = Karakamsha (synonymous — "own amsha" = Atmakaraka's amsha)
• Karakamsha in Lagna of any divisional chart = exceptionally well-endowed in that life area; things come naturally.

[!IMPORTANT] These results describe the instinctual nature (vasanas) of the person in the relevant life domain — not the literal profession (which comes from Lagna and Dashamsa). The Karakamsha shows what the inner self wants to express.

Verse 12 — Moon, Mars, Venus: Sign of Paradara Interest

Chandara bhuvu vargastha karake paradarikaha Viparyayastham yatha jneyam phalam sarvam vicakshanai

If Atmakaraka is in a varga (division) owned by Moon, Mars, or Venus (i.e., Cancer, Taurus, Libra, Aries, Scorpio): → The person may have interest in other people's spouses (paradara).

[!WARNING] This is a very broad thumb rule. Five out of twelve signs qualify. Must be combined with other chart indicators for reliability. Applicable amsha: likely D9 (Navamsa — chart of dharma and marriage).

[!NOTE] Vidvan here means a person of refined taste and intuitive learning (Moon-type knowledge) — not the analytical scholar (Mercury) or the wise judge (Jupiter).

• Currently in Virgo (5th from Arudha Lagna — unfavorable)

Diagnosis of the Karma

• 8th lord Mercury exactly conjunct Rahu in Scorpio = major, deep karma
• Scorpio = Sarpa rashi, Rahu = Sarpa graha → snakebite-type poison karma
• This is not amenable to simple remedies (gem stones dismissed as insufficient and potentially counterproductive)

Recommended Remedies

[!TIP] Primary mantra: Ugram Veeram Maha Vishnum Jalantam Sarvato Mukham, Nrisimham Hyeshnam Bhadram Mrityu-mrityum Namamyaham (Known as Mantraja Pada Mantra — constructed from first words of Shiva's stotra to Parvati)

Why NOT gems in this case:

• The karma is too heavy — thousands of dollars on a gem cannot shift it
• Risk: prescribing diamond (Lagna lord) could accelerate death via Trimsamsa Maraka placement
• No reliable modern priest with adequate dharana (focus) exists in most cases

Why Ugra Narasimha over Mrityunjaya:

• Scorpio = Mars sign → Ugra form needed, not Saumya
• Mercury → Vishnu's avatar
• Mars rules Narasimha
• Ugra Narasimha specifically = Mrityu-mrityum (death of death)

[!WARNING] Ugra Devatas move fast and are not careful. Some suffering/side effects (fever, minor illness) may fall on those doing the mantra on behalf of the native. This is expected — the "rotten fruit spillover" analogy. The good fruit (survival) is worth the spillover.

On focus vs. detachment:

"When your mind has only two things — the desire that this person should live, and the mantra — nothing else, then even for a few seconds, great things become possible."
