📋 Table of Contents

📘 v1 Series — 100 classes

v1 Batch 1 — Classes 01–10

Remedies Catalog — Batch 1 (v1–v10)

class-01

  • No specific remedies discussed

class-02

  • No specific remedies discussed

class-03

  • No specific remedies discussed

class-04

  • No specific remedies discussed

class-05

  • Mantra as remedy: Reciting mantras strengthens specific houses and planets
    • Om mantra: source=1, destination=1, devata sthana=1 → strengthens 1st house (self, Lagna)
    • "Surya" mantra: 1 word, 2 letters → source=1, destination=2 (2nd house), devata sthana=3 (3rd house) → Sun placed in 3rd house context; strengthens Sun-related matters
    • Panchadasi Mantra: 3 words, 15 letters → source=3, destination=3, devata sthana=3 → strengthens 3rd house matters; devata = lord of 3rd house
    • Rule: Count letters mod 12 → destination house; devata sthana = destination + (destination − source) mod 12
  • Mantra for 7th house: Mantras with devata sthana in 7th house propitiate Krishna (desire, relationships) or Shiva-Parvati (7th house = union)

class-06

  • Guru-initiated mantra vs. self-chanting: Mantra given by a qualified guru is far more powerful; self-chanting a mantra from a book is much weaker; Guru Purnima is the day to approach guru for initiation

class-07

  • No specific remedies discussed

class-08

  • Fasting as remedy for weak Arudhas:
    • Fast on the weekday corresponding to the lord of the weak Arudha
    • Pray to the deity of the 2nd lord from that Arudha
    • Example: If AL (Arudha Lagna) is weak and its lord is Venus, fast on Friday and pray to the deity of the 2nd lord from AL
    • This strengthens the tangible manifestation (Arudha) in that area of life

class-09

  • Aditya Hridayam: Remedy for Sun-related issues, especially when Sun is with Rahu or Ketu
    • Seen in example of June 1949 chart: Sun with Rahu → health troubles → Aditya Hridayam recommended
    • Aditya = Sun; Hridayam = heart; chanting this restores vitality and health
  • Fasting on planet's weekday: Confirmed again as general remedy method for strengthening any weak planet or Arudha lord

class-10

  • Vishnu Sahasranama on Wednesdays: Remedy for weak Mercury (4th+7th lord in 8th house in Navamsha = marital instability); praying to Vishnu (Mercury's deity) on Wednesday strengthens Mercury → improves marital happiness
  • Praying to Sun/Shiva: Remedy for quarreling tendency (6th lord Sun with Ketu in 6th house → quarreling in marriage); praying to Sun or Shiva reduces quarrel proneness
  • Specificity of remedy: Choose deity based on what you want to fix:
    • For getting married → propitiate planet/deity connected to 7th house/UL
    • For reducing quarrels → propitiate 6th house lord
    • For marital happiness → propitiate 4th lord and 7th lord

General remedy principles across v1–v10

  1. Mantra: Recite mantras targeting specific house + devata sthana for that house's planet
  2. Fasting: Fast on weekday of lord of weak Arudha
  3. Prayer: Pray to 2nd lord from weak Arudha for strengthening
  4. Guru initiation: Guru-given mantra is far superior to self-chosen mantra
  5. Deity-specific prayer: Each planet has a deity; propitiating the deity strengthens the planet
    • Sun → Shiva / Surya
    • Moon → (not specifically mentioned in v1–v10)
    • Mars → (not specifically mentioned)
    • Mercury → Vishnu (Vishnu Sahasranama on Wednesdays)
    • Jupiter → (not specifically mentioned)
    • Venus → (not specifically mentioned)
    • Saturn → (not specifically mentioned)
    • Rahu → (not specifically mentioned)
    • Ketu → (not specifically mentioned)

v1 Batch 2 — Classes 11–20

Remedies — Batch 2

Remedy — Strengthen Jupiter to Overcome Venus-Jupiter Conflict

Source: class-11 Type: mantra | ritual For: Jupiter weakened by proximity to Venus (or any malefic influence on Jupiter) Procedure: Pray to Jupiter directly (strengthens Jupiter) OR pray to the Sun (as Sun is Jupiter's well-wisher and ally). "Sun is like Sri Rama, Jupiter is like Vishwamitra, and Rahu/Venus are like Maricha and Subahu. When the priest (Jupiter) is troubled, call the king (Sun) — Sun will come and help." (class-11) Frequency/count: Regular worship on Thursdays (Jupiter's day) or Sundays (Sun's day). Time/day: Thursday for Jupiter; Sunday for Sun. Cautions: If Sun is himself a problematic planet (e.g., 6th, 8th, or 12th lord) in the chart, praying to Sun could activate those negative significations. Check house lordship before prescribing Sun worship. "Unless Sun is also a problematic planet in this particular case, praying to Sun will give results faster than praying to Jupiter when Jupiter is troubled." (class-11)

Remedy — Worship to Find One's Spiritual Path (Arudha Lagna Method)

Source: class-13 Type: mantra | ritual For: Native whose Atmakaraka or spiritual planets in 6th from Arudha Lagna need support for renunciation/spiritual transition Procedure: Identify the lord of the sign containing the 6th-from-Arudha planets → worship the deity associated with that sign's lord.

  • Lord = Mercury (sign of Virgo or Gemini) → worship Krishna/Vishnu avatar (Prashna Marga's deity for Mercury).
  • Lord = Saturn (sign of Capricorn or Aquarius) → worship Kali/Shiva (deity of Saturn).
  • "If the native worships the deity corresponding to the sign lord of their 6th-from-Arudha Lagna planets, their spiritual transition becomes smoother." (class-13) Frequency/count: Daily mantra practice. Time/day: As per the deity's traditional prescription. Cautions: This remedy is for easing spiritual transitions, not for material gain. "What you are doing as a jyotishi is making the path easier — showing the native the way so that the shock treatment is less." (class-13)

Remedy — Chanting Mantras (Mantra-based Spiritual Strengthening)

Source: class-13 Type: mantra For: Protecting the mind and keeping it on the right path; general spiritual strengthening Procedure: "Mantra means mana prah — to protect the mind. By keeping the mind on the right path through mantra, you protect the soul's journey." (class-13). Choose the mantra based on the planet that needs strengthening or the deity that corresponds to the spiritual path indicator. Frequency/count: Daily; ideally tied to specific counts (108 or multiples) on a mala. Time/day: Brahma Muhurta (before sunrise) is most auspicious for mantra practice. Cautions: "Krishna says in the Gita: the mind will go in the direction of the deity, and the person will take on the nature of the deity they worship. So choose the right deity based on the chart." (class-13)

Remedy — Prabhupada Example: Krisha Mantra for Renunciation Path

Source: class-13 Type: mantra For: Native with Venus and Mercury in 6th from Arudha Lagna (in Virgo/Mercury's sign) — signaling need to renounce marriage and work for spiritual progress Procedure: Worship Krishna (Mercury's deity per Prashna Marga). Chant Krishna mantras. "Prabhupada not only chanted himself — he made the whole world chant." (class-13) Frequency/count: Daily Hare Krishna chanting. Time/day: Traditional Vaishnava worship times. Cautions: This is specific to cases where the Karakamsha has Rahu and Mars in trines (mantrika yoga) AND Venus/Mercury in 6th from Arudha Lagna. Do not generalize.

Remedy — Let Go of Ego (Saturn/Rahu Atmakaraka or Sun Atmakaraka)

Source: class-13 Type: lifestyle | ritual For: Sun as Atmakaraka — the planet of maximum ego and pride; also relevant when Saturn/Rahu aspects Atmakaraka Procedure: "The great advice for Sun-Atmakaraka natives: take the knowledge of Surya (brilliance, truth-seeing), but shed the ego of the Sun. Let go of the ego and take the knowledge of Shiva." (class-13). Practice humility; refrain from putting others down. Frequency/count: Ongoing daily lifestyle practice. Time/day: Daily. Cautions: "The biggest minus point among astrologers is ego, because of the Sun's rays inside them. The more Surya comes inside, the more ego. You want to take the knowledge but not the ego." (class-13)

Remedy — Never Choose Moon in 8th House for Muhurta

Source: class-20 Type: ritual For: Any Muhurta / election of an auspicious time for starting any enterprise Procedure: Always verify that Moon is not in the 8th house of the Muhurta chart. "Never choose a Muhurta with Moon in the 8th house — that is really bad for any purpose. Moon shows the mind; you don't want the mind in a state of anxiety when starting something." (class-20) Frequency/count: Applied once, at the time of selecting the Muhurta. Time/day: Any Muhurta selection process. Cautions: "Moon in the 8th house is the Marana Sthana for Moon — it destroys the house it's placed in. This principle applies even when Moon is not the Lagna lord." (class-20)

v1 Batch 3 — Classes 21–30

Remedies — Batch 3 (classes 21–30)

Remedy — Mrityunjaya Mantra for longevity protection

Source: class-24 Type: mantra For: Protection from death or death-like situations; to be recommended when a Maraka Dasha is running and the native is in a critical health phase. Procedure: Recite the Mrityunjaya Mantra (Om Tryambakam Yajamahe...). Never predict death directly; instead, tell the person "this period is critical, please do Mrityunjaya Mantra." Frequency/count: Not specified; regular recitation implied. Time/day: Not specified. Cautions: Even Brahma's astrology does not work 100% of the time (Markandeya was Alpayush but became Chiranjivi). Making fatal predictions for fame is terrible karma. Always recommend this mantra when Maraka periods are active, rather than predicting death.

Remedy — Praying to the deity of the afflicting planet (for health/accidents)

Source: class-23 Type: ritual / mantra For: When a specific planet in the natal chart (especially 6th or 8th lord) is activated in D-16 (Shoda Shamsha) and accident/vehicle danger is indicated. Procedure: Identify the 6th lord or afflicting planet in the natal chart. Pray to the deity of that planet. Example: if Venus is the 6th lord, pray to Lakshmi or Lalita or the Divine Mother. This is Satvic — doing mantra/puja reduces malefic impact rather than canceling karma permanently. Frequency/count: Especially during periods when that planet's Tithi Astottari Dasha is running in the annual chart. Time/day: Not specified. Cautions: Wearing the gemstone of the 6th or 8th lord is NOT recommended (Rajasic; creates future karma payback). Mantra/puja is always superior to gemstone remedies as it is Satvic and does not create future debt.

Remedy — Gemstone wearing — general rules

Source: class-23 Type: gemstone For: Strengthening a planet for artha (career), dharma (principles), kama (desires), or moksha purposes. Procedure:

  • Identify which purushartha (dharma/artha/kama/moksha) you wish to strengthen.
  • Wear the gem on the corresponding finger: ring finger (dharma), middle finger (artha), little finger (kama). NEVER on index finger (moksha) — wearing a gem on the index finger is inauspicious; only a ring of darbha grass is allowed there for specific rituals.
  • For increasing a planet's strength: wear on right hand. For suppressing: left hand (Sanjayji's view; other elders disagree).
  • Metal matching: Sun/Moon/Mars/Jupiter → gold preferred; Venus/Mercury/Saturn/Rahu/Ketu → silver preferred. For Mars specifically, copper (Tamra) is ideal. For Mercury, silver or bronze (Kamsa). For Saturn, iron (Loha) ideally, though gold/silver are common substitutes. For Ketu, pancha-loha alloy. Frequency/count: Permanent, based on natal chart. Time/day: Not specified. Cautions: NEVER wear the gemstone of the 6th lord (always bad). Avoid the 8th lord's gemstone unless a strong reason exists (e.g., strong 5th house Narayana Dasha running). Wearing a gem just because it looks nice without considering the chart can cause serious harm (example: Pisces lagna lady with diamond and ruby during 6th/8th lord periods — her engagement broke).

Remedy — Gemstone wearing — for Dharma-Karma Adhipati Yoga

Source: class-23 Type: gemstone For: Strengthening a Raja Yoga between 9th and 10th lords. Procedure: If 9th and 10th lords have a Parivartana or are conjunct, wearing their gemstones together is auspicious. Example: PVR's chart — Mercury (10th lord) and Venus (9th lord) in Parivartana → wearing emerald and diamond together on dharma or artha finger. Frequency/count: Permanent. Time/day: Best to start during Mercury Dasha (when running). Cautions: Even for favorable yogas, be aware of Maraka periods — some gems may need to be removed during Maraka Dashas even if generally beneficial.

Remedy — Sattvic worship vs. Rajasic/Tamasic worship

Source: class-23 Type: ritual / lifestyle For: General spiritual wellbeing and obtaining results safely. Procedure:

  • Sattvic: Praise God for the happiness of it (e.g., reading Vishnu Sahasranamam with understanding of meanings), without specific desires. Increases the divine qualities within the worshipper. Safe always; no negative consequences.
  • Rajasic: Praying to a deity for a specific material goal (job, marriage, etc.). Acceptable but procedure must be correct. If procedure has a flaw, result may not come, but no backlash.
  • Tamasic: Vashikaran mantras, black magic, mantras intended to harm or control. Very dangerous. Wrong planet, wrong chart, wrong procedure = severe negative consequences. Frequency/count: Sattvic worship can be done at any time. Time/day: Not specified. Cautions: When praising God and understanding the meanings of His names, you are strengthening those divine qualities within yourself. Praying for only money (artha alone, middle finger only) is prohibited in Vedic culture — always pair it with dharma (ring + middle fingers together).

Remedy — Avahana (invoking deity in ritual objects)

Source: class-23 Type: ritual For: Pujas, homams, and sacred rituals; to give life force to idols or lamps. Procedure: Touch the idol or lamp with the tip of the ring finger of the right hand and say "Avahayami" — "I am invoking." This transfers part of your own life force (the divine spark within you) into the object. After Avahana, say "Sthapayami, Pujayami" and offer services. Frequency/count: Each time you begin a new puja or ritual worship. Time/day: At the start of each puja session. Cautions: Without Avahana, an idol has no life force; services rendered to it are less effective. The deity you invoke should match your chart — certain deities are more appropriate given your chart's strengths and weaknesses.

Remedy — Praying to Krishna for occult learning

Source: class-27 Type: mantra / ritual For: Enhancing Jyotish scholarship, converting occult learning into applicable predictive skill. Procedure: In D-24, if Moon links the 11th, 5th, and 2nd houses, then pray to Krishna (Moon's deity). This activates the scholarship-speech-occult chain in the chart. Frequency/count: Regular, ongoing worship. Time/day: Not specified. Cautions: Once comfortable with learning, if concerned about accuracy of predictions, additionally pray to Narasimha (Mars' form), which governs the 2nd house (speech/prediction).

v1 Batch 4 — Classes 31–40

Remedies — Batch 4 (Classes 31–40)

Satyanarayana Vratam (Class 39)

  • Nature: A Vrata (vow/observance) dedicated to Satyanarayana — an aspect of Vishnu as the embodiment of Truth (Satya = truth, Narayana = the all-pervading one).
  • Purpose: Performed for general auspiciousness, fulfillment of desires, gratitude for blessings received, and spiritual merit.
  • Significance: Connected to the Satya Loka (realm of truth/highest existence) concept. Satyanarayana is the deity who sustains truth across all lokas (realms).
  • When performed: Typically on Purnima (full moon), Ekadashi, or on auspicious Tuesdays and Saturdays. Also performed at life milestones (housewarming, marriage, business launch, after recovering from illness).
  • Astrological connection: Class 39 discussed this in context of Pancha Loka Palakas and the deeper philosophical framework of creation-sustenance-dissolution. Satyanarayana represents the sustaining (Vishnu) principle.

Rudra Namakam / Chamakam (Class 39)

  • Rudra Namakam: The first part of the Sri Rudram hymn — reciting the 11 names/forms of Rudra, appeasing the fierce aspect of Shiva. Used to transform destructive Rahu-Mars energy.
  • Chamakam: The second part of Sri Rudram — the granting hymn, asking for specific blessings (wealth, progeny, strength, knowledge). Chamakam follows Namakam.
  • Purpose: Pacifying Rudra (Shiva's fierce form) and invoking blessings. Particularly relevant for those with strong Ardra nakshatra influence or difficult Rahu placements.
  • Class 39: PVR discussed Rudras in the context of Pancha Loka Palakas — Rudra governs the fire element (southern direction in the five-fold system). Reciting Rudra Namakam aligns with the fire element's purification.
  • Adhyadeva for Saturn: Yama (god of dharma/death) — the presiding deity invoked for Saturn in Navagraha puja.
  • Pratyadi Deva for Saturn: Prajapati — the secondary deity.
  • Significance: When doing Saturn puja, invoking Yama and Prajapati is essential. Yama = Saturn's brother/uncle in mythology; dogs are Saturn's symbolic animal (sincerity, discipline, dharma).
  • Class 40: PVR noted: "Yama is associated with Saturn. Yama and Prajapati are the Adhyadeva and Pratyadi Deva for Saturn when you're doing Navagraha puja."

Venus — Mrityunjaya Connection (Class 40)

  • Venus and longevity: Venus has the blessing of Mrityunjaya (the mantra that conquers death, taught by Shiva to Shukra/Venus).
  • Triambakeshwar Jyotirlinga: One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, located in Pisces (zodiac correspondence) — the sign where Venus is exalted. This strengthens the Venus-longevity connection.
  • Implication: When Venus is well-placed (especially in Pisces/exaltation), it can confer exceptional longevity and health. Individuals with Venus strongly influencing their Navamsa Lagna may live up to a century.
  • Sri Lagna: A sensitive point in the chart representing the "seat of Lakshmi" — where the goddess of prosperity resides in the chart.
  • Distinction from Navamsa Lagna: Sri Lagna shows material prosperity and well-being blessings; Navamsa Lagna shows ability-blessings from past karma.
  • Remedy implication: Strengthening the Sri Lagna lord or planets aspecting Sri Lagna can enhance Lakshmi's blessings in one's life.

Jyotirlinga — Gemstone/Mantra Connections (Class 40)

  • 12 Jyotirlingas (forms of Shiva as light) correspond to the 12 zodiac signs.
  • Triambakeshwar = Pisces (Venus exalted) → connects to the Mrityunjaya tradition.
  • This correspondence can be used for pilgrimage remedies: visiting the Jyotirlinga corresponding to a troubled sign/planet in the chart.

v1 Batch 5 — Classes 41–50

Remedies — Batch 5 (Classes 41–50)

class-45

Three Types of Remedies by Quality (Guna)

Satvic Remedies

  • Methods: Fasting (upavasa), penance (tapas), sincere worship (puja/bhajan), mantra recitation, prayer.
  • Mechanism: Process karma at the correct time and intensity. Do not postpone karma — allow it to be burned naturally without accumulation.
  • Effect: The karma is experienced, but with reduced suffering and without additional karmic debt accruing.
  • Best for: Adridha (unfixed/movable) karma — karma that CAN be modified by personal effort.
  • Preferred: Always preferred over rajasic or tamasic remedies by this tradition.
  • Source: v45

Rajasic Remedies

  • Methods: Gemstones (ratnas), yantra worship with material motivation, remedies done for material gain.
  • Mechanism: A gemstone "borrows" the planet's energy now, pulling the karmic result forward into the present. This relieves the current difficulty temporarily.
  • Consequence: The karma is NOT eliminated — it is deferred to the future with interest. When the deferred karma finally arrives, it is MORE intense than it would have been if allowed to unfold naturally.
  • Appropriate use: When immediate relief is needed and the person accepts the future intensification (a pragmatic choice, not the ideal).
  • Inappropriate use: When trying to "solve" fundamental karmic issues — gemstones cannot eliminate Dridha karma.
  • Source: v45

Tamasic Remedies

  • Methods: Fear-based rituals, harmful practices, remedies involving harm to other beings.
  • Effect: Generally avoided or condemned. May provide temporary distraction but carry their own karmic weight.
  • Source: v45

Four Levels of Karma and Their Appropriate Remedies

Karma Type Level Who is affected Appropriate Remedy
Dridha (Fixed/Universal) Universal All beings in a cosmic cycle Cannot be removed — must be experienced
Societal Karma Community/Nation Groups of people Collective worship, community dharmic action
Family Karma Lineage All family members Ancestral rites (pitru tarpana, shraddha), family-level puja
Individual Karma (Adridha) Personal The individual Satvic personal remedies (fasting, mantra, worship, tapas)

Worship of Planet Ruling a Difficult Daily Chart

From v49: If the ruler of a person's day (Hora lord) is badly placed in the daily Tithi Pravesh chart — especially if it is poorly placed in both the Rasi and Dasamsa of the day — the recommended action is worship of that planet's presiding deity:

  • Jupiter: Worship Shiva/Dakshinamurthy.
  • Sun: Worship Surya (Sun temple, Aditya Hridayam).
  • Moon: Worship Shiva (Moon is in Shiva's matted hair), or Chandra puja.
  • Mars: Worship Subramanya/Kartikeya or Hanuman.
  • Mercury: Worship Vishnu or Durga.
  • Venus: Worship Lakshmi/Mahalakshmi.
  • Saturn: Worship Shani or Hanuman.

Important caveat: "Whatever has to happen will happen, but the degree — which is a variable that the chart cannot predict — can be controlled by worship." You cannot avoid a layoff by staying home; the pink slip arrives the next day. But the degree of suffering can be reduced.

  • Source: v49

Prashna (Horary) as a Spiritual Tool

From v49: Prashna astrology works because it is a form of communicating with the divine within. To be a good prashna astrologer:

  • Be intellectually honest.
  • Have a pure heart and strong personal dharma.
  • When "the God within you is happy," answers come naturally — even through an incorrect chart time.
  • This is NOT a remedy per se, but it is the prescription for developing spiritual clarity so that divine guidance flows.

A prerequisite check before doing prashna:

  1. Is Jupiter aspecting or in the Lagna of the prashna chart? If no → gods are not ready to answer; do not proceed.
  2. Does the Navamsa Lagna of the prashna chart have strong links to the querent's natal chart? If no → the prashna is not valid for that person.

v1 Batch 6 — Classes 51–60

Remedies — Batch 6 (classes 51–60)

Remedy — Strengthening Luminaries for Yoga Activation

Source: class-59
No yoga fully functions unless Sun and Moon are strong. Sun is the initiator of any yoga; Moon is the sustainer. Remedies that strengthen the luminaries (Sun and Moon) — such as Surya Namaskar, worship of Mahalakshmi, recitation of Aditya Hridayam, or wearing appropriate gemstones — are foundational and should precede any yoga-specific remedy. Without strong luminaries, even excellent planetary combinations (Hamsa Yoga, Gajakesari Yoga) will not deliver their full promise.

Remedy — Timing Activity to Hora Lord

Source: class-51, class-59
The hora (planetary hour) at any starting moment is the most important factor governing the quality of that time period. Starting important activities — business meetings, journeys, initiating projects — during the hora of a benefic planet aligned with your chart's needs provides a natural remedy via auspicious timing. The hora lord for a new year chart determines the year's overall quality; similarly, the hora lord at any inception moment governs that time cycle.

Remedy — Muhurta Selection via Panchanga Tattvas

Source: class-52
Each of the five Panchanga elements corresponds to a tattva: Tithi = water (jal), Vara = fire (agni), Nakshatra = air (vayu), Yoga = ether (akasha), Karana = earth (prithvi). For optimal muhurta, assess which element tattva needs to be balanced for the intended purpose. The Karana lord's placement in the chart is more actionable than generic Karana quality judgments. This five-tattva balancing is a systematic remedy approach within muhurta selection.

Remedy — Worship at Kartika Shukla Pratipada (Financial New Year)

Source: class-59
On Diwali day (Kartika Shukla Pratipada / financial new year — the Sun-Moon conjunction in Libra), the traditional remedy is to close all accounts and begin fresh account books. Prayer to Mahalakshmi on this day is a traditional practice for financial renewal. The teacher validated this as astrologically sound: Libra governs business and finances (7th house of natural zodiac), so the new year starting at Sun-Moon conjunction in Libra is the optimal time to reset financial intentions.

Remedy — Awareness of Badhakesh Periods

Source: class-56, class-57, class-60
The Badhakesh (obstruction lord) dasha/antardasha brings inexplicable, diagnosable-only-with-difficulty problems — physical, mental, or spiritual. Rather than fighting these periods, the appropriate response is: (1) accept that the source of troubles is beyond physical diagnosis, (2) seek spiritual guidance or mantra/prayer specific to the badhakesh planet, (3) avoid major new commitments during the peak badhakesh period. Even in annual charts (Tithi Pravesha), badhakesh in the 12th house shows "loss of badha" — a favorable outcome if badhakesh is truly in 12th from itself, though parivartana can negate this.

v1 Batch 7 — Classes 61–70

Remedies — Batch 7 (v61–v70)

class-65

Palana Devata Remedy Framework

  • Method: Find 6th house from Amatyakaraka in Navamsa → that planet = Palana Devata → recommend worship of that deity.
  • Example (alcoholism chart): Amatyakaraka leads to Saturn as Palana Devata → 4th lord in Rashi = Venus in Capricorn (Saturn-ruled) → recommend Kali worship.
  • Cross-reference: 4th lord in Rashi for healing connection. If 4th lord is in a sign ruled by Palana Devata, the remedy is confirmed.

Dasa Mahavidya Conditions for Blessing

  • Moon or Venus in D1 Lagna AND D20 Lagna AND 4th from AK in Navamsa falling on Virgo–Pisces or Taurus–Scorpio axis → that person is blessed by one of the 10 Mahavidyas.
  • Specific Mahavidya determined by which planet/deity is involved.

class-69

Mantra Correction — Hanuman Mantra

  • Correct form: "Om Hanumate Namah" (not "Hanumataye Namah").
  • "Hanumataye" is grammatically the dative of "Hanumati-Sadha" (the energy of Hanuman) — technically means praying to Hanuman's energy, not to Hanuman himself.
  • "Hanumate" is the correct dative of "Hanumat-shabda" = praying directly to Hanuman.
  • Caution on bijakshara synthesis: Do not add bijaksharas to mantras unless from a Siddha mantra already in the literature. Creating new bijaksharas + deity mantras without guidance from a trusted guru is dangerous — the effect is unknown. Example: "Om Shroom Hanumate Namah" — PVR warns one cannot know the effect without personal sadhana of that specific mantra.
  • Safe mantra synthesis: You may combine names/epithets of a deity (e.g., "Om Veera Hanumate Namah") without drastic risks, as this only evokes a different energy facet.

Remedy: Jupiter + Moon Gemstone Ring

  • For: Mental instability (Aries Lagna, Moon Dasha running, Moon afflicted by Ketu and in Marana Karaka Sthana in Navamsa).
  • Prescription: Yellow sapphire (Pushkaragam/Pukhraj) in the center, pearl (Mouktikam/Moti) on both sides → ring for right hand, ring finger (Dharma finger).
  • Rationale: Jupiter = 9th lord (protector of mind and body), savior planet. Moon = 4th lord involved in multiple yogas (Gaja Kesari, Chandra Mangala, Raja Yoga). Moon weakened by Ketu close conjunction; strengthening both simultaneously.
  • Timing: Wear for the first time on a Tuesday (because Moon and Jupiter are in Aries — a Martian sign; use Lagna's day = Mars day = Tuesday).
  • Finger logic: Index = Moksha, Middle = Artha, Ring = Dharma, Little = Kama. Here the purpose is protecting health/dharma → ring finger.
  • Hand logic: Right hand = activating/strengthening the planet. Left hand = weakening the planet (for advanced Tantric purposes only; do not use casually).

Gemstone List (Full, per PVR)

Planet Sanskrit Hindi English
Sun Manikya Manikya Ruby
Moon Mouktikam Moti Pearl
Mars (red coral) (red coral) Red Coral
Mercury Markatam Panna Emerald
Jupiter Pushkaragam Pukhraj Yellow Sapphire
Venus Vajram Heera Diamond
Saturn Nilamani Neelam Blue Sapphire
Rahu Gomedakam Gomedh Hessonite (Gomedh)
Ketu Vaidhuryam Lahsuniya Cat's Eye

Mantra Remedy — Chandi Path (Durga Saptasati) for Mental Problems

  • For: Mental illness with Moon afflicted by Mars, Ketu; Moon-Mars parivarthana; Moon Dasha running.
  • Specific recommendation: Read the Madhyama Charitram (middle portion, chapters 4–13 approximately) of Durga Saptasati. Deity = Mahalakshmi (Sattvic form, appropriate because Jupiter is the savior/protector planet).
  • Why not full Chandi or Mahakali section: Pratham Charitram (Mahakali) is Tamasic; Uttama Charitram (Saraswati) is Sattvic in a different way. The Sattvic energy of Jupiter + Martian energy of Moon/Mars → Madhyama Charitram is the right choice.
  • Frequency: Every day if possible, minimum every Tuesday (Mars day, since Moon and Jupiter are in Aries).

Remedy: Kali Worship — Kalikamba Form

  • For: Mental disorder, Moon+Saturn in D-30 (subconscious weakness of Kali/Saturn energy).
  • Prescription: Worship Kalikamba (the motherly form of Kali, not the fearsome Mahavidya form). Read the 7th Adhyaya (Saptam Adhyaya) of Durga Saptasati daily — the chapter where Kalika kills Canda and Munda (~30 verses).
  • Method: Place a picture of Kali before reading; state intention before and after (for daughter's mental well-being). No need to read at midnight for this purpose.
  • Distinction: Mahavidya Kali mantras are ONLY for detachment and self-realization; they should not be used for materialistic/health purposes.

Remedy: Prayer to Dakshinamurti

  • When: Sun + Rahu conjunction in a sensitive house (Lagna or other prominent house). Dakshinamurti channels the combined energy of Sun+Rahu constructively.
  • Form: Have a picture of Dakshinamurti in the child's study room. Child will naturally gravitate to Shiva worship as Guru in later life.

Fasting Guidance

  • Fasting NOT recommended when the person has excess Vata (Lagna lord Mars afflicted by Saturn, Moon in Krittika in Lagna). Fasting aggravates Vata and worsens mental instability.
  • When fasting is appropriate: Only for Sattvic individuals with no Vata excess.
  • Satvik vs. Rajasic vs. Tamasic remedies: Satvik = mantra, fasting, prayer. Rajasic = gems, herbs. Tamasic = more intense practices. Choose based on person's karma and urgency. PVR: "If the situation calls for a Rajasic or Tamasic approach, do not hesitate."

class-70

Remedy: Jupiter Worship for Health

  • For: Pisces Lagna child with Sun+Rahu in Lagna (5° apart = very close affliction). Weak constitution possible when the right dasha comes.
  • Prescription: Pray to Jupiter — specifically to one of the great guru figures: Vyasa, Dakshinamurti, Dattatreya, or Saibaba (all Jupiterian).
  • Rationale: Jupiter = Lagna lord (health guardian). Jupiter is also in the Rogbada (Arudha of health enemy) house, showing it directly counteracts disease. When Sun+Rahu are together, Jupiter always rescues Sun.

v1 Batch 8 — Classes 71–80

Remedies — Batch 8 (Classes 71–80)

Class 71 — Remedies for Saturn-Moon and Mars-Rahu

  • Kali/Chamunda for Saturn-Moon in Mars sign: When Saturn and Moon are conjunct in a sign ruled by Mars (Aries or Scorpio), the appropriate remedy is worship of Kali or Chamunda. This combination creates intense psychological/emotional distress (vairagya, fear, suppression) — feminine Shakti form needed.
  • Subrahmanya for Mars-Rahu (Kuja Samma): When Mars and Rahu are conjunct (Kuja Samma / Sarpa Dosha combination), the remedy is daily recitation of Subrahmanya Stotram. Subrahmanya (Kartikeya/Skanda) pacifies the Mars-Rahu tension. "Pray to Subrahmanya every day."
  • Debilitated planets → female deity: When a planet is debilitated, the appropriate remedy deity is a female deity (Devi form). The specific female deity depends on the sign and planetary combination.

Class 72 — Remedies for Property Acquisition

  • Subrahmanya Stotram for weak resources in D4: If resources for buying a house are weak (malefic seventh house in D4 from Arudha, afflicted fourth lord), pray to Subrahmanya every day with the sankalpa (intention) of acquiring a home.
  • Kali worship for Saturn-in-Pisces (dominant Saturn): When Saturn in Pisces is giving results (Ketu dasha, Saturn Antardasha), Kali worship is appropriate. The same Kali worship done for career/other purposes also helps with house matters if that sankalpa is added to the puja.
  • Tithi Pravesh birthday ritual for home: On the birthday (Tithi Pravesh), at the start of Jupiter or Venus Antardasha, pray at temples connected to the significant planets. The prayer should include the specific sankalpa: "I want to acquire a good home."

Class 73 — Temple Visits and Specific Deity Forms

  • Raja Ganapati mantra: When Ketu is in Leo (Simha) in the natal chart, the appropriate Ganesha form is Raja Ganapati (Ganesha in kingly/royal form). A Maha Ganapati homam with Raja Ganapati mantra chanted twelve times per session is extremely auspicious.
  • Vyataraka leaf/flower offering to Ganesha: When Sun is strong and Ketu is involved, the Vyataraka leaf and flower are appropriate offerings. "Sun likes it, that's why it's called Vyataraka."
  • Kuja Dosha remedy — Kumbha Vivah: The traditional remedy for Kuja Dosha (Mars affliction in 1st/4th/7th/8th/12th house) is Kumbha Vivah (symbolic marriage to a pot/water vessel). However, this remedy is considered overrated since the dosha itself is overrated (see misconceptions).

Class 74 — Remedies for Marriage Delay/Difficulty

  • Krishna worship for Saturn-Moon woman: For a woman with Saturn and Moon together (giving vairagya and disinterest in marriage), and Saturn being the second lord from UL, praying to Krishna is highly recommended. Krishna is a lunar form of Vishnu (Moon's sign) and Saturn's deity.
  • Wednesday fasting + Krishna worship: Fast on Wednesdays (Wednesday = UL lord day for that chart) and at the end of each fast, pray to Krishna with offering of small naivedya. Continue for forty-eight Saturdays (almost one full year).
  • Saturday fasting: For Saturn as second lord from UL, fast on Saturdays for forty-eight consecutive weeks (approximately one year). Pray to Krishna at the end.
  • Valli and Subramanya: For marriage remedy when Mars (sixth lord) needs propitiation, pray to Valli and Subramanya together — Subramanya with his wife Valli (rather than celibate Kartikeya alone). Can be done on Tuesdays or Mondays (Mars in Moon's house in Navamsa → Monday).
  • Specific temple pilgrimage for marriage:
    • Tirupati darshan (Venkateshwara) for Rahu propitiation — Venkateshwara takes care of Rahu.
    • Srinivasa Mangapuram temple (place where Srinivasa and Padmavati married) on the birthday date — for marriage sankalpa.
    • Vedanarayana temple (Vishnu rescuing Vedas) for Jupiter-Ketu in lagna combination.
    • Tiruchanur Padmavati temple for Venus propitiation.
  • Timing of temple visit: On the Tithi Pravesh birthday date (annual chart start), visiting these temples maximizes the year's auspiciousness for marriage.
  • General prayer principle: Sattvic prayers (without specific desire) add to spiritual bank balance. Rajasic prayers (with desire, e.g., "please give me marriage") use up good karma but achieve specific results. Gemstone wearing is like taking a credit card loan — shortcut that may create future problems.
  • Praising the planet vs. strengthening it: Praying to a deity does not strengthen a malefic planet's malefic agenda — it makes the planet "behave nicely." A malefic becomes less malefic. This is different from wearing a gemstone, which blindly amplifies the planet's existing agenda (good or bad).

Class 74 — Remedies Timing

  • July 19 temple visit (for Sarita's marriage): Specific recommendation for early morning of July 19 at Srinivasa Mangapuram, then Vedanarayana temple on the same day — to start the new Tithi Pravesh year with auspicious energy for marriage.

Class 75 — Financial Remedies

  • General: No specific financial remedies beyond planetary worship were given in v75. The focus was on prediction rather than remedy.

Class 77 — Jaimini and Name Analysis

  • Katapayadi-based name analysis as self-understanding tool: Understanding one's name through Katapayadi gives insight into one's natural tendencies and Navamsa characteristics. Not a remedy per se, but useful for self-alignment.

Class 79 — Deity Worship Based on Karakamsha

  • Ishta Devata worship from 12th from Karakamsha: The most powerful and personally appropriate deity for a native is determined from the 12th house from Karakamsha (Atmakaraka's Navamsa position). Worshipping this deity unlocks spiritual protection and guidance.
    • Sun+Ketu in 12th → Shiva
    • Moon in 12th → Gauri/Kali (form varies by Paksha/tithi)
    • Venus in 12th → Lakshmi
    • Mars in 12th → Skanda/Subrahmanya
    • Mercury or Saturn in 12th → Vishnu
    • Jupiter in 12th → Nirguna Shiva (formless/Dakshinamurti)
    • Rahu in 12th → Durga
    • Ketu in 12th → Ganesha
  • Saturn in 12th in malefic sign: Indicates potential involvement with dark practices. Remedy: shift to Vishnu worship and distance from occult practices.
  • Dharma Devata: The deity whose worship fulfills one's dharmic purpose, derived from the ninth house of Navamsa from Atmakaraka. Continuously praying to Dharma Devata strengthens dharmic clarity and purpose.
  • Palana Devata: The deity who sustains and nourishes the native, derived from fourth house of Navamsa from Atmakaraka.

v1 Batch 9 — Classes 81–90

Remedies — Batch 9 (classes 81–90)

class-82 | Amavasya Dosha Shanti (BPHS Ch 85-86)

Dosha: Born on Amavasya (new moon day) — severe inauspicious birth condition that overrides good chart indicators.

Procedure (done on the 21st day after birth):

  1. Prepare a Kalasha (pot) placed in the SE (Agni / Vahni kona). Note: Parashara specifies SE, not SW — SW is a common error.
  2. Fill the pot with water; place around it branches, bark, and roots of specified trees.
  3. Place 5 gems (Pancha Ratna) near the Kalasha.
  4. Install small idols of Sun and Moon beside the Kalasha.
  5. Recite Apyayasva mantra (for Moon) 108 times.
  6. Recite Savita mantra (for Sun) 108 times.
  7. Perform Abhishekam (ritual bath) of the father first, then the mother, then the baby with the Kalasha water.

Timing: Strictly on the 21st day of birth.

class-82 | Inauspicious Birth Conditions (Janma Doshas) — Overview

Parashara lists conditions that override all good chart indicators:

  1. Amavasya (new moon birth)
  2. Krishna Chaturdashi (14th of waning moon)
  3. Vishti Karana
  4. Born in same nakshatra as a sibling or father
  5. Surya Sankranti (solar ingress day)
  6. Solar or Lunar Eclipse day
  7. Yati Pata and other bad yogas
  8. Gandanta (junctions of water and fire signs)
  9. Yama Ghanta
  10. Dagdha Yoga
  11. Tritara Janma (third generation same nakshatra)
  12. Abnormal birth

Key principle: Any of these doshas must be remedied before other chart analysis is meaningful. Remedy first, then predict.

class-83 | Krishna Chaturdashi Dosha Shanti

Dosha: Born on Krishna Chaturdashi (14th of waning fortnight). Results depend on which part of the tithi:

  • Part 1: auspicious
  • Part 2: father suffers
  • Part 3: mother suffers
  • Part 4: maternal uncle suffers
  • Part 5: family lineage suffers
  • Part 6: native's own wealth/self destroyed

Remedy:

  1. Worship Shiva (primary deity for this dosha).
  2. Chant Tryambakam mantra (Om Tryambakam Yajamahe...).
  3. Chant Varuna mantras.
  4. Perform Graha Homa for the afflicted planets.
  5. Make offerings of sesame (til), urad dal, and mustard seed.

class-83 | Eka Nakshatra Dosha Shanti (Same Nakshatra Dosha)

Dosha: Two members of the same family born in the same nakshatra (e.g., father and son in Rohini, or two siblings in Ashwini). Parashara says one of them will certainly suffer or die.

Tritara Dosha (sub-type): Three generations (grandfather, father, child) born in the same nakshatra — extremely severe.

Remedy:

  1. Identify the Nakshatra Devata of that specific nakshatra.
  2. Perform puja to the Nakshatra Devata.
  3. Perform homa with the nakshatra mantra chanted 108 times into the fire.

class-84 | General Duriyoga / Bhadra Dosha Remedy

Doshas covered: Bhadra Karana, Yamaghanta, and general inauspicious yogas at birth.

Remedy:

  1. Shiva milk abhishekam — pour milk over the Shiva linga.
  2. Ghee deepam in a Shiva temple — light a ghee lamp.
  3. Pradakshina of Peepal tree (circumambulation of the sacred fig tree).
  4. Vishnu Homa — fire ritual invoking Vishnu, performed 108 times (108 ahutis).

class-84 | Navagraha Puja Setup (Correct Arrangement)

Purpose: Proper arrangement for nine-planet fire ritual or altar setup.

Planet Shape of seat Grain offered Direction
Sun Circle Wheat Center
Venus Pentagon White beans East
Moon Square Rice SE
Mars Triangle Toor dal South
Rahu Trapezium Black gram SW
Saturn Arc (bow shape) Black til West
Ketu Flag shape Horse gram NW
Jupiter Rectangle Chickpeas North
Mercury Rhombus (diamond) Moong dal NE

Note: Each planet has its own specific shape for the seat/yantra drawn underneath the grain offering.

class-83 | Cancer Disease Remedy (Longevity Mantras)

Context: Discussed in the context of a student's mother diagnosed with cervical cancer, Saturn-Mercury dasha period.

Recommended practices:

  1. Mahamrityunjaya Mantra: Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam, Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat — chant 108 times daily for the patient, with sankalpa (stated intention).
  2. Ugram Veeram mantra (Narasimha): Ugram Viram Maha Vishnum Jwalantam Sarvato Mukham, Narasimham Bhishanam Bhadram Mrityu-Mrityum Namamyaham — 108 times daily.
  3. Narasimha Kavacham — daily recitation with patient's name in sankalpa.
  4. Sudarsana Homam — in the patient's name, ideally with patient present to breathe some of the smoke.
  5. Venkateshwara puja or any Vishnu form for Mercury.

Best window: Do most intensely during Jupiter's Antardasha period in the annual chart (window when Jupiter aspects the 8th house protectively).

class-83 | Sankalpa Format for Healing Puja

"[Gotra], [Nakshatra], [Rasi], [Name] — Namya kshema, sthayi, vijaya, abhaya, ayur, arogya, aishwarya abhrudhyartham" [then do the puja/mantra]. English alternative allowed: "For the good health and prolonged longevity of [name], I perform this puja."

class-86 | Homam as Spiritual Purification

Principle: Daily homam kindles the Bhutagni — the subtle fire within the five elements. This purifies the subtle (sukshma) body and amplifies the results of all other sadhana performed on the same day.

Teaching: The spiritual fire lit in homam corresponds to the fire principle in the subtle body. Purifying Bhutagni makes meditation, mantra japa, and other practices more powerful.

Frequency: Daily homam is ideal; even small homam is valuable.

class-88 | Gemstone Recommendation — Principle

Rule: Do not think of gemstones as "strengthening a planet" in a vacuum. Gemstones accentuate the results of whatever the planet is already giving in that chart.

  • If a trine lord is debilitated and you want to strengthen it: wearing its gem can help because the planet's intent is beneficial but it lacks strength.
  • If a malefic dusthana lord (3rd, 6th, 8th lord for certain lagnas) is weak: wearing its gem accentuates the malefic result — avoid.
  • A diamond on a Pisces-lagna native strengthened Venus (8th lord) leading to spiritual advancement when Venus had a strong spiritual signature — context-dependent.
  • The engagement/necklace example: ruby (Sun = 6th lord) + diamond (Venus = 8th lord) worn by Pisces-lagna girl → broke the engagement.

Practical rule: Check the planet's functional nature for that lagna AND the planet's house occupancy and associations before recommending a gemstone. Not just "is this planet debilitated or exalted?"

class-88 | Praying for Mental Disability (Trimsamsha Moon afflicted)

Context: Child with mental disability, Moon in Gandanta in 6th house, afflicted by Saturn and Rahu.

Recommendations:

  1. Worship Kali (for Moon-Saturn affliction in Scorpio — appropriate for Bengali family).
  2. Worship Lakshmi Narayana (Venus + Mercury combination as Lagna lord).
  3. Wear diamond (to accentuate Venus as Lagna lord).
  4. Pursue Ayurveda — specifically Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala medicines for mental development.
  5. Do Gandanta Shanti (child was born in deep Gandanta — should have been done within first weeks; can still be done later).

class-90 | Gandanta Dosha Shanti

Dosha types and their remedies:

Tithi Gandanta (5th/6th, 10th/11th, 15th/16th tithi junctions — 2 ghatikas each side):

  • Donate a bullock (go-vrisha dana) or cow (go-dana).
  • Perform abhishekam of the child.

Nakshatra Gandanta (Revati-Ashwini, Ashlesha-Magha, Jyeshtha-Mula junctions — 2 ghatikas each side for Moon):

  • Donate gold (suvarna dana).
  • Perform abhishekam.
  • Jyeshtha-Mula special case: 5 ghatikas at Jyeshtha end + 8 ghatikas at Mula end (asymmetric and especially severe).

Lagna Gandanta (Pisces-Aries, Cancer-Leo, Scorpio-Sagittarius junctions — 1 ghatika each side = approx. 3 degrees):

  • Donate a bullock or cow.
  • Perform abhishekam.

Abhishekam method:

  • Father performs ablutions in the first half of the ceremony.
  • Mother performs ablutions in the second half of the ceremony.
  • Then the baby is bathed with the sanctified water.

class-89 | Wearing Gems for Debilitated Trine Lords

Rule: If the 5th or 9th lord is debilitated, the planet wants to help but is too weak. You can:

  1. Wear the gemstone of that planet to strengthen it.
  2. Time your puja/gemstone wearing to coincide with when the planet is stronger in transit (e.g., when transiting in exaltation or own sign).
  3. Pray to the planet to release the blocked blessings.

Contrast: If a dusthana lord (3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th) is debilitated, do not wear its gem — the weakness is actually favorable.

class-83 | Remedy Timing Psychology

Practical wisdom from the teacher: When prescribing puja duration, align the end of the prescription with an upcoming favorable dasha or transit period. This way:

  • The person has realistic hope.
  • Even if the puja doesn't work independently, the good dasha period will bring relief and reinforce faith.
  • Use judgment: "Do this for 40 days" can be selected so that a good period starts around day 40.
  • Avoid crushing hope entirely: if three years are bad, say "this year is terrible, next year is better, and after three years it will be excellent."

v1 Batch 10 — Classes 91–100

Remedies — Batch 10 (classes 91–100)

Remedy — Abhuta Moola Shanti (birth in Moola nakshatra)

Source: class-91, class-92 (BPHS Ch.93–96 per Santhanam) Type: Nakshatra shanti homa For: Baby born in Moola nakshatra (inauspicious for father-in-law) Procedure:

  1. Timing: 12th day after birth (or within 12–25 days), or at the latest in the child's 8th year on an auspicious day
  2. Build a mandapam with 4 doors facing East and North; cow-dung floor
  3. Place a Rakshasa idol (golden or black): two heads, wolf-face, holding sword, wrapped in skin, seated on a corpse — this is Niritti (deity of Moola nakshatra)
  4. Set up nine kalashas representing the navagrahas; fill with prescribed herbs and waters
  5. Main ritual: 100/108/1000 repetitions of Indra mantra in fire (homa)
  6. Also recite Mrityunjaya mantra (Tryambakam Yajamahe) — Mrityunjaya is always appropriate for any shanti
  7. Abhishekha (ritual bathing of idol)
  8. Dress baby in white clothes
  9. Gift a milk-giving cow (Kapila cow preferred) to the acharya
  10. Feed Brahmins; give dakshina to ritvigs Frequency: Once (at specified time after birth) Cautions: Must be done before 8th year; if birth is in first ghatika of Moola, it is the most severe — act early

Remedy — Jyeshtha Gandanta Shanti (birth at Jyeshtha-Moola junction)

Source: class-92 (BPHS Ch.93–96 per Santhanam) Type: Nakshatra junction shanti homa For: Baby born at the gandanta between Jyeshtha (water/Cancer-end) and Moola (fire/Sagittarius-start); inauspicious for elder sibling Procedure:

  1. Same mandapam setup as Abhuta Moola Shanti (4-door, cow-dung floor)
  2. Devata is Indra (not Rakshasa); place Indra idol riding Airavata (white elephant), holding vajra (thunderbolt) and ankusha (elephant goad)
  3. Pile of shali (unhusked rice / shalitandula) as base; kalasha on top
  4. Recite Indra Sukta + Mrityunjaya mantra in homa
  5. Abhishekha; white clothes for baby
  6. Gift a cow (godana) to acharya as alternative/complement
  7. Feed Brahmins; dakshina Cow-donation scale (when doing only godana):
  • Moola gandanta (Scorpio–Sagittarius junction): 3 cows
  • Jyeshtha gandanta (Scorpio–Sagittarius, Jyeshtha-Moola): 3 cows
  • Ashlesha–Magha gandanta (Cancer–Leo junction): 3 cows
  • Revati–Ashwini gandanta (Pisces–Aries junction): 2 cows
  • Other gandantas: 1 cow Frequency: Once (within prescribed period after birth) Cautions: Jyeshtha = Indra devata; do not confuse with Moola (Rakshasa/Niritti devata)

Remedy — Tritiya Janma Shanti (third-gender-change birth)

Source: class-93 (BPHS Ch.93–96) Type: Birth-related family shanti homa For: When three children of one gender are born followed by a child of the opposite gender (3 boys + 1 girl, or 3 girls + 1 boy) — believed to bring hardship Procedure:

  1. Timing: At the end of sutaka (purification period) — 11 days for Brahmin, 21 days max; or any auspicious day thereafter
  2. Engage a qualified Vedic acharya and ritvigs
  3. Place golden idols of Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesha (Shiva), and Indra on a grain-pile kalasha
  4. Recite four Rudra suktas and shanti suktas; homa for all four devatas
  5. Perform Srishtakrutham (special creation-mantra recitation) + Poornahuti (final full offering into fire)
  6. Abhishekha for the entire family (not just the baby)
  7. First show the baby its own reflection in a bronze vessel (not directly, to avoid inauspicious first-sight)
  8. Give dakshina to ritvigs; feed Brahmins; donate to poor and orphans Frequency: Once (at end of sutaka or first auspicious day) Cautions: Whole-family abhishekha is essential; omitting this weakens the remedy

Remedy — Prasava Vikara Shanti (unusual/inauspicious delivery)

Source: class-94 (BPHS Ch.93–96) Type: Birth shanti for delivery anomalies For: Unusual or inauspicious deliveries — cow born in Simha (Leo) Lagna, buffalo born in Makara (Capricorn) Lagna, or other delivery with ill omens Procedure:

  1. Give the calf (or substitute animal) to a Brahmin (this transfers the inauspicious omen)
  2. Perform Brahma / Vishnu / Mahesha puja as in Tritiya Janma Shanti
  3. Navagraha homa (all nine planets)
  4. All homas as per Tritiya Janma Shanti procedure Frequency: Once (promptly after the unusual delivery) Cautions: The animal born in the inauspicious sign must be given away — retaining it perpetuates the ill omen

Remedy — Mrityunjaya Homa for Bala Arista

Source: class-95, class-96 Type: Homa / japa For: Babies with natal Bala Arista combinations (Moon in 6/8/12, malefics in sensitive positions, Sandhya birth, etc.) identified in BPHS Ch.9 Procedure:

  1. Assess severity: combinations for death within a fortnight require immediate action; less severe combinations can wait until 11th/12th day
  2. Recite Mrityunjaya mantra (minimum 1,008 times; full homa preferred with 10,000 or 100,000 repetitions)
  3. Timing: 11th or 12th day after birth (after sutaka) for most; immediately if combination indicates death within two weeks
  4. Feed Brahmins; give cows or gold as dakshina Frequency: Can be repeated; more severe arista = more repetitions Cautions: Do not wait until 8th year if the Arista is severe; the 12-day window is critical for the worst combinations

Remedy — Saturn-Ketu Conjunction / Placement in 2nd House

Source: class-92 Type: Deity propitiation For: Saturn-Ketu conjunction or Saturn-Ketu in 2nd house causing speech/wealth problems Procedure:

  1. Saturn's deity = Vishnu → recite Vishnu sahasranama or Vishnu stotras
  2. Ketu's deity = Ganesha → recite Ganesha stotras; perform Ganesha puja on Tuesdays/Chaturthi
  3. Mrityunjaya mantra is especially appropriate for Saturn (Saturn = Ayush karaka = longevity lord)
  4. Combine both: Vishnu on Saturdays, Ganesha on Tuesdays and Chaturthi Frequency: Regular (weekly/monthly according to tithi) Cautions: Both planets' deities must be propitiated; addressing only one gives partial relief

Remedy — Moon-Rahu Conjunction (Durga upasana)

Source: class-93 Type: Deity propitiation For: Moon-Rahu conjunction in natal chart causing mental disturbance, fear, delusion Procedure:

  1. Pray to Durga (Moon+Rahu combined deity = Durga in this scheme)
  2. Recite Durga Saptashati (700 verses) or Saptashloki Durga (7-verse condensed form) — especially on Mondays
  3. Perform Chandi homa if situation is severe Frequency: Mondays and/or Navaratri; Saptashloki can be daily Cautions: Moon = Parvati; Rahu = demon energy; Durga = fierce form of Parvati that conquers demons — hence the correspondence

Remedy — Amavasya Dosha (birth on New Moon)

Source: class-92 Type: Shanti / dosha nivarana For: Person born on Amavasya (New Moon) carrying Amavasya dosha Procedure:

  1. Can be performed by parents even without the child being present — proxy sankalpa is valid
  2. Standard shanti puja with Moon (Chandra) as primary devata
  3. Recite Chandra stotras / Shiva stotras (Moon = Parvati; Shiva carries Moon)
  4. Mrityunjaya mantra recommended (covers Moon afflictions) Frequency: As required; proxy works if child is abroad or unavailable Cautions: Proxy sankalpa is scripturally valid — the karma transfer mechanism works when the intention and the willing receiver are both present

Remedy — Karma Transfer Principle (general caution for all remedies)

Source: class-92 Type: Philosophical guideline For: All donation-based and karma-transfer remedies Procedure:

  1. The person receiving the donation (Brahmin, acharya, ritvig) inherits some karma from the donor via the transfer
  2. Therefore the receiver must be willing and capable of accepting and processing that karma
  3. Unwilling or incapable receivers do not absorb the karma effectively — remedy fails
  4. Choose ritvigs and dakshina-receivers carefully: they should be practicing, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing Cautions: Giving dakshina to an unqualified or unwilling Brahmin does not complete the karma transfer; the dosha remains with the giver

📗 v2 Series — 99 classes

v2 Batch 1 — Classes 01–10

Remedies — Batch 1 (Classes 01–10)

RX-001 · Venus/Lakshmi Worship for Marriage

Source: class-01, class-06 Indication: Troubled marriage, delay in marriage, UL (Upapada Lagna) afflicted by malefics, Venus weakened or under malefic aspect Remedy: Worship Goddess Lakshmi (Venus's deity) — recite Shri Suktam, Kanakadhara Stotram, or Lakshmi Ashtottaram regularly. On Fridays (Venus's day), offer white flowers, milk, and sweets to Lakshmi. Frequency: Daily or weekly (Friday) For Women: Specific emphasis on Lakshmi worship; PVR links Venus → Lakshmi → marital harmony

RX-002 · Durga Worship for Rahu in Lagna

Source: class-07, class-10 Indication: Rahu in lagna (natal or annual chart), Rahu very strong in the chart, repeated setbacks from unknown/foreign/unexpected sources Remedy:

  • Read Durga Saptasati (700 verses) or the shorter Durga Saptashloki (7 verses) — minimum daily
  • Full Durga Saptasati if time permits; Saptashloki if not
  • Alternatively: Chandi Homam (fire ritual) for very severe Rahu affliction PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "Because Rahu is in lagna in both Rasi and Sashtamsa, praying to Durga will be very auspicious. He can read Durga Saptasati or Durga Saptashloki or Saptajati if he has that much time. At least Durga Saptashloki. So read Durga Saptashloki."

RX-003 · Mrityunjaya Mantra for Health Crises

Source: class-10 Indication: Upcoming difficult health period shown by Tithi Pravesh, 8th lord + Saturn afflicting lagna, Sapa yoga in annual chart Remedy:

  • Recite Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra (Tryambakam Yajamahe...) daily — one mala (108 times)
  • Begin before the difficult period arrives; build up the "reserve"
  • For serious cases: Rudrabhishekam or Rudra Homam PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "Tell him: starting from the beginning of 2009, start reading Tryambakam Yajamahe, the Mrityunjaya mantra every day, one mala. You must do it. Also tell him, because Rahu is in lagna in both Rasi and Sashtamsa, praying to Durga will be very auspicious."

RX-004 · Kartikeya/Subrahmanya Worship for Mars in Gandanta

Source: class-07 Indication: Mars in Gandanta (especially in Scorpio near Jyeshtha-Mula transition, or in Ashwini-Revati zone), potential physical harm from animals/fire/accidents Remedy: Pray to Lord Kartikeya (Subrahmanya/Murugan) — particularly appropriate when Mars is in Scorpio (scorpion/snake symbolism → Subrahmanya who controls serpents) PVR Exact Quote (class-07): "Intuitively, Mars is in Scorpio — and Scorpio is basically the scorpion. So rather than Hanuman, Subrahmanya gels better. As far as the physical harm thing is concerned, praying to Kartikeya may be a little better than Hanuman." Alternative: For Gandanta Mars in Aries/Ashwini → Hanuman is appropriate (Mars + Hanuman → same energy)

RX-005 · Chhinnamasta Sadhana for Intense Spiritual Seekers

Source: class-07 Indication: Rahu as Ishta Devata indicator (Rahu in Parivartana with Venus in Navamsa, or Rahu in 12th from Atmakaraka in Navamsa); strong 8th house; Mars as Atmakaraka; Pravraja Yoga present Remedy: Initiation into Chhinnamasta mantra (one of Dasa Mahavidya) — a Tantric Devi related to Rahu energy, sudden awakening, and transcending body-consciousness PVR Exact Quote (class-07): "If he wants to do Dasa Mahavidya sadhana, the other really key deity is Chhinnamasta. So if he's already in the Kali sadhana, he can consider Chhinnamasta. Chhinnamasta will be very, very beneficial for him... Either Durga or probably Chhinnamasta. I think my gut feeling is Chhinnamasta is the right one for him." Note: This is an advanced Tantric remedy — requires proper initiation (diksha) from a qualified guru.

Source: class-06 Indication: Marriage delayed, 5th or 7th house afflicted, Jupiter weak Remedy: Fast on Thursdays (Jupiter's day); eat only one meal, preferably yellow foods; worship Jupiter or Vishnu/Brihaspati Context: Given as part of a bundle of remedies for a boy with troubled marriage prospects

RX-007 · Adityahridayam for Career and Partnership

Source: class-10 Indication: Sun (lagna lord or career significator) debilitated or afflicted; Sun as Darakaraka's 7th lord in Navamsa shows Sun-related deity for protecting partnerships Remedy: Recite Adityahridayam (the Surya Stotram from Valmiki Ramayana, ~31 verses) daily PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "You mentioned Adityahridayam. Excellent. Why did you do that? Because Sun. [Student:] Because of Sun. [PVR:] Excellent." Extended Remedy: Matangi or Raja Matangi mantra — for charts where Sun is debilitated (debilitated planet → female deity; Sun debilitated → female deity corresponding to Sun = Matangi/Raja Matangi). "If somebody can initiate him in a Matangi mantra or Raja Matangi mantra, it'll be a very auspicious sadhana as far as his career and business are concerned."

RX-008 · Gayatri Sadhana (General Spiritual Foundation)

Source: class-07 Indication: Any chart with strong Sun, need to build spiritual foundation, spiritual seekers in general Remedy: Daily Gayatri Mantra japa — especially during Sandhya (dawn, noon, dusk). A fundamental daily practice recommended before more advanced sadhanas. Context: PVR mentions Gayatri in passing while discussing P. Kalyan's sadhana progression.

RX-009 · Hanuman Chalisa for Severe Curses

Source: class-10 Indication: Severe curse in the chart (e.g., schizophrenia in family member from past-life curse); strong Mars-Rahu-Saturn affliction to lagna Remedy: Recite Hanuman Chalisa — intensive regimen:

  • 108 times per day, for 108 days (or minimum 48 days)
  • Very labor-intensive (3–5 hours daily commitment) PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "The remedy suggested to him was: do Hanuman Chalisa 108 times every day for 108 days or at least 48 days. So it's not really an easy thing to do. So if you spend 4 hours every day or 5 hours every day doing a particular sadhana with a particular level of concentration and focus, lot of things can be made to happen."

RX-010 · Rudra Japam / Rudrabhishekam for Health

Source: class-10 Indication: Saturn as 6th lord afflicting lagna lord or Sun; Mandi and Gulika in lagna; Sapa Yoga in chart; health crisis predicted Remedy:

  • Rudra Japam: 11 recitations of Sri Rudram + Chamakam on specific nakshatras or weekdays for several months
  • Alternatively: Rudrabhishekam (abhishekam to Shivalinga with Rudra recitation) or Rudra Homam at home or temple PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "Tell this guy: in 2009, to do Rudra Japam or Maha Mrityunjay Homa, Maha Mrityunjay Mantra or get a Rudrabhishekam or Rudra Homam done in his house, or a Chandi Homam because Rahu is in lagna. Something like that will help him."

RX-011 · Ishta Devata Worship (Universal Foundation Remedy)

Source: class-07, class-10 Indication: Applicable to all charts for general well-being, spiritual progress, and protection Determination: 12th house from Atmakaraka in Navamsa → its lord = Ishta Devata indicator Remedy: Regular worship of the Ishta Devata (the deity who will guide the soul to liberation in this life) Priority: This is the FIRST and most important remedy for any chart. Material remedies come secondary. PVR Method: From class-10 — "The seventh house from Darakaraka in Navamsa shows the Devata who will be protecting you in all your dealings."

RX-012 · Putra Saukhyam Prayer via Saptamsa Lagna Lord

Source: class-10 Indication: Seeking general happiness and welfare of children Remedy: Identify the Lagna lord in Saptamsa (D7); worship that planet's deity with specific Sankalpa for "Putra Saukhyam" (happiness from children) PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "If you want to be in general happy with children, take the lagna lord in Saptamsa, worship him. Take a Sankalpa: Putra Saukhyam. If you ask too many things to God, they will get confused. Say something specific: Putra Saukhya Artham. That's it."

RX-013 · Self-Sadhana vs. Hired Priest — Effectiveness Rule

Source: class-10 Principle: Self-performed sadhana is always more effective than sadhana done by proxy PVR Exact Quote (class-10): "You yourself doing for yourself is definitely better than somebody else doing for you. Because if you are asking God, you are directly asking God. If you ask somebody else to ask God, and that person asks God, it depends on your relationship with that person and that person's relationship with God. So there are more stages — more relays." Exception: When the person cannot do it themselves (severe illness, extreme busyness), recommending a trusted, qualified priest is acceptable. "If you find somebody who can't do it for himself, do suggest a priest. Especially if you have found a priest who you think is good."

v2 Batch 2 — Classes 11–20

Remedies – Batch 2 (Classes v11–v20)

Types of Propitiation (Upaya)

  • class:: v16
  • Three modes of propitiation, corresponding to the three gunas:

Sattvic Propitiation

  • No specific agenda; pure devotion without asking for anything
  • Mantra repetition for its own sake; offering to deity without conditions
  • Example: daily homam or Gayatri japa done without asking for specific results
  • Most spiritually purifying; burns karma at the root

Rajasic Propitiation

  • Done for specific desires; asking the deity for a particular result
  • Example: "Please help me get this job," "Please heal my disease"
  • Acceptable and effective for worldly results
  • Less purifying than Sattvic but more effective for specific goals

Tamasic Propitiation

  • Dangerous; involves binding or commanding spirits/deities
  • Black magic, tantric coercion, use of lower entities
  • Can achieve results but creates severe karmic backlash
  • Strongly advised against

Gems (Ratnas)

  • class:: v16
  • Gems amplify planetary energy — both good and bad results
  • A gem for a strong, well-placed planet: amplifies already good results further
  • A gem for an afflicted planet: amplifies the affliction and makes things worse
  • Therefore: never wear a gem for an afflicted planet
  • Propitiation (mantra, homam) ALWAYS reduces bad planetary effects; gems may not
  • Pearl (Mukti Pearl / Muktikam) = gem for Moon
    • Recommended for Moon-related issues, comfort, mother's health
    • Example recommendation: woman with boss problem (v15) — pearl for Moon + Kali mantra

When to Recommend Gems

  • Only recommend when the planet is a functional benefic AND placed favorably
  • When in doubt: recommend mantra/homam first; gem only if clearly beneficial

Mantras – Specific Recommendations

  • class:: v11, v14, v15, v16

Narasimha Mantra (for health, protection, longevity)

  • class:: v15, v16
  • Full mantra (verbatim from class): "Om Ugram Viram Mahavishnum Jvalantam Sarvatomukham Nrisimham Bhishanam Bhadram Mrityu Mrityum Namamy Aham"
  • Translation: "I bow to Nrisimha (Man-Lion form of Vishnu) who is fierce, brave, the great Vishnu, blazing, facing all directions, terrifying, auspicious — the death of death itself"
  • Use: severe health threats, protection from death, longevity enhancement
  • Particularly for problems related to 8th house, malefic afflictions to longevity indicators

Kali Mantra

  • class:: v15
  • Recommended for: protection from enemies, relief from oppression, overcoming severe obstacles
  • Context: woman with abusive/oppressive boss situation (v15)
  • Kali is the destroyer of evil; worship removes obstacles caused by adharmic people

Ganesha Mantra / Worship

  • class:: v15
  • Recommended alongside Kali for: removal of obstacles, new beginnings, protection
  • Context: same woman facing boss problems
  • Ganesha removes obstacles before undertaking any new endeavor

Vishnu Worship

  • class:: v12
  • Recommended for: overall spiritual progress, dharmic living, protection
  • Homam for Vishnu: a complete, structured practice

Saturn / Shani Worship

  • class:: v12, v16
  • Recommended during Saturn Dasha or Saturn transit difficulties
  • Helps convert Saturn's karmic lessons into manageable experiences

Mercury (Budha) Worship

  • class:: v15, v16
  • Recommended for: nervous system issues, communication problems, intelligence
  • Mercury = nerve current; worship supports mental clarity and nervous function

Homam

  • class:: v12, v20
  • Personal homam (fire ritual): low purity requirements; done for personal spiritual benefit
  • Can be done at home by householders
  • More accessible in Kali Yuga compared to elaborate yagas/yagnas
  • Kali Yuga spiritual tools: homam + mantra japa + nama sankirtana (chanting divine names)
  • Teacher's own teaching: simple personal homam as primary sadhana recommendation

Yagas and Yagnas (Large-Scale Fire Rituals)

  • class:: v20
  • Yagas/Yagnas require strict external AND internal purity
  • Done for the benefit of large groups, organizations, or nations
  • Jyotishoma = a specific large-scale yaga involving Soma herb
    • Very strict rules; rare in modern times
    • A person with Rahu in Kendra/Trikona (and weak 10th lord) may be inclined to perform such elaborate rituals
  • The yaga tradition belongs to a different era; homam is the Kali Yuga equivalent

Multiple Spiritual Paths in Kali Yuga

  • class:: v14
  • The four yoga paths (Jnana, Bhakti, Karma, Raja) are all valid in Kali Yuga
  • However, the most accessible/effective in Kali Yuga: Bhakti (devotion) and Karma (action)
  • Homam combines elements of all four paths in a single practice

Specific Remedy for Ishta Devata

  • class:: v14
  • Identify Ishta Devata: planet ruling or placed in 12th from Atmakaraka in Navamsa
  • Worship that deity with mantra, homam, or daily puja
  • This is the most personalized and effective form of spiritual practice

Transit Remedies

  • class:: v16, v17
  • For difficult transits (Murti Tamra/Loha; Kantaka Sani; Ashtama Sani; Ardhaashtama Sani):
    • Intensify worship of the transiting planet's deity during that period
    • Perform appropriate homam
    • Recite protective mantras (e.g., Narasimha mantra for severe threats)
    • Wear appropriate gems ONLY if the planet is not afflicted natally

Kali Japa (Kali Japam)

  • class:: v15
  • Japa = repetition of mantra
  • Kali Japam specifically recommended for: relief from oppression, enemies, severe workplace or relationship trauma
  • Combined with Ganesha japa for comprehensive obstacle removal

General Remedy Principles

  • class:: v16
  • Propitiation (mantra, homam, puja) ALWAYS reduces negative planetary results
    • Even if the planet is afflicted, worship reduces the harm
  • Gems are different: they amplify whatever the planet is already doing
    • If planet is badly placed: gem amplifies the bad → makes things worse
    • Rule: propitiation first; gem only for clearly well-placed planets
  • No remedy can completely override a strong natal promise — it reduces intensity
  • Best results from consistent daily practice rather than one-time rituals

v2 Batch 3 — Classes 21–30

Remedies — Batch 3 (v21–v30)

Remedy — Yellow Sapphire (Pushyaragam) for Jupiter

  • Source: class-22, Abhijit's chart
  • Type: Gemstone
  • For: Jupiter strengthening; Atmakaraka or benefic Jupiter in natal chart
  • Procedure: Wear a natural yellow sapphire (Pushyaragam) on the right ring finger; set in gold; consecrate with Jupiter mantra before wearing
  • Frequency: Worn continuously; energized on Thursdays
  • Time: Begin wearing on a Thursday after sunrise
  • Cautions: Confirm Jupiter is beneficial in the chart before prescribing; if Jupiter rules dusthana without ruling a benefic house, avoid

Remedy — Sri Rama Rama Rama (Amrita Mantra / Taraka Mantra)

  • Source: class-22, Abhijit's chart
  • Type: Mantra
  • For: General wellbeing, mind purification; Vishnu propitiation; equivalent to chanting Vishnu Sahasranama once
  • Procedure: Chant "Sri Rama Rama Rama" continuously; can be done silently or aloud; no restrictions on time/place for this mantra
  • Frequency: As many times as possible; daily practice ideal
  • Time: Any time; morning preferred
  • Cautions: None — this is a sattvik universal mantra safe for all

Remedy — Om Hrim Suryah Adityah (Surya Mantra)

  • Source: class-22, Abhijit's chart
  • Type: Mantra (8-syllable Surya mantra from Surya Upanishad)
  • For: Sun strengthening; mental clarity; Atmakaraka or 6th lord issues (when Sun is afflicted)
  • Procedure: Chant the mantra 108 times daily; ideally facing east at sunrise
  • Frequency: Daily, especially on Sundays
  • Time: Sunrise is optimal
  • Cautions: Sun mantra is sattvic but generates heat (pitta); those with severe pitta imbalance should balance with Moon/Chandra remedies

Remedy — Hanuman Chalisa (54 times daily)

  • Source: class-23, Vijay Kumar's father longevity crisis
  • Type: Prayer/stotra (devotional hymn)
  • For: Longevity protection; Shola Dasha dangerous period; Maraka protection; overall strength of Lagna lord
  • Procedure: Recite Hanuman Chalisa 54 times daily (can be done in multiple sittings); ideally with concentration and devotion
  • Frequency: 54 times daily as prescribed for longevity crisis; regular practice = once/twice daily
  • Time: Morning and/or evening
  • Cautions: Requires commitment — half-hearted practice gives partial results

Remedy — Mahamrityunjay Mantra / Homam

  • Source: class-23, Vijay Kumar's father (longevity protection)
  • Type: Mantra/Homam (fire ritual)
  • For: Longevity crisis; Shola Dasha dangerous period; Maraka Dasha; Shiva propitiation for death avoidance
  • Procedure: For urgent longevity protection: perform Mahamrityunjay Homam (fire ritual with 1,008 or more oblations); mantra = "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushti-vardhanam; Urvārukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Māmritāt"
  • Frequency: Homam as major ritual (done once or a few times with full puja); daily mantra chanting throughout dangerous Dasha
  • Time: Shiva Muhurta (pradosh kala); or any auspicious time
  • Cautions: Best performed with qualified priest; Homam requires proper samagri and setup; if not possible, mantra alone still helps

Remedy — Red Coral (Mars Strengthening)

  • Source: class-25, autism child
  • Type: Gemstone
  • For: Mars strengthening; specifically for Cancer Lagna where Mars is Yogakaraka (rules 5th and 10th)
  • Procedure: Natural red coral (moonga) on the ring finger of right hand; set in gold or copper; energize with Mars mantra on Tuesday
  • Frequency: Worn continuously; re-energized on Tuesdays
  • Time: Begin wearing on Tuesday after sunrise
  • Cautions: Confirm Mars is Yogakaraka or strong benefic in the chart; for Cancer Lagna this is generally safe; for other Lagnas, assess carefully

Remedy — Durga / Chandi Propitiation

  • Source: class-25, autism child
  • Type: Deity propitiation / mantra
  • For: Rahu affliction; severe Moon affliction; Rahu Dasha problems; overcoming illusion and mental obscuration
  • Procedure: Chant Chandi Saptashati (Durga Saptashati / Devi Mahatmyam) — 700 verses of Devi's glory; or simpler: chant "Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaya Viche" daily
  • Frequency: Chandi Saptashati: once on Fridays or Tuesdays; Navarna mantra: daily 108 times
  • Time: Auspicious Devi days (Navaratri, Fridays, Tuesdays)
  • Cautions: Chandi Saptashati is powerful — should be done with proper sankalpa (intention) and completed without interruption

Remedy — Chandra Kavacham (Moon armor prayer)

  • Source: class-26, Visakhapatnam native (nerve/spine health)
  • Type: Kavacham (protective armor prayer)
  • For: Moon (Lagna lord) strengthening; physical body protection; nerve-related health issues; Lagna lord in Badhakasthana
  • Procedure: Recite Chandra Kavacham from Navagraha Kavacham book; ideally 1,008 times for full effect; even 30-40 days of daily recitation gives partial benefit
  • Frequency: Daily; persistent effort for 1,000+ repetitions for lasting effect
  • Time: Monday evenings (Moon's day); or Pradosh time (1.5 hours before sunset)
  • Cautions: For real results, requires persistent commitment — a few readings give temporary comfort only

Remedy — Angaraka Kavacham (Mars armor prayer)

  • Source: class-26, Visakhapatnam native
  • Type: Kavacham (protective armor prayer)
  • For: Mars Dasha health issues; nerve tissue damage (Mars signifies nerve marrow); Mars in Gandanta or Sarpa Drekana
  • Procedure: Recite Angaraka Kavacham from Navagraha Kavacham book; 1,008 times for full protection; 30-40 days daily for partial benefit
  • Frequency: Daily; persistent daily practice
  • Time: Tuesday (Mars's day)
  • Cautions: For physical troubles in general, Kavachams are especially auspicious — PVR's general teaching for bodily ailments

Remedy — Kavachams for physical troubles (general principle)

  • Source: class-26, PVR teaching
  • Type: Kavacham (armor prayer) — general principle
  • For: Any physical health problem; the planet causing the health problem + Lagna lord
  • Procedure: Identify the dasha lord causing health problems; also identify Lagna lord; chant both their Kavachams daily
  • Frequency: Daily for 30+ days minimum; 1,000-1,008 times for permanent armor
  • Time: Day of the week corresponding to each planet
  • Cautions: Kavachams take time to "set" around the native; short practice gives temporary relief only; persistent practice builds permanent protection

Remedy — Om Namah Shivaya / Om Hreem Namah Shivaya

  • Source: class-27, Courtney's chart
  • Type: Mantra
  • For: Shiva propitiation; Atmakaraka Saturn; spiritual seekers on Shiva path; Capricorn/Aquarius dominant charts
  • Procedure: Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" (Panchakshara) or expanded "Om Hreem Namah Shivaya" (Shadakshara); 108 times daily minimum
  • Frequency: Daily; ideally at dawn and/or evening
  • Time: Pradosh time (1.5 hours before sunset on Tuesdays and Saturdays) is most powerful for Shiva
  • Cautions: Shiva mantra is very powerful and transformative; beginners may experience rapid life changes; approach with devotion

Remedy — Saraswati / Ganesh worship for education

  • Source: class-29, CA exam native
  • Type: Deity propitiation
  • For: Education success; Mercury-ruled professions (accounting, CA exam); D24 analysis showing academic challenges
  • Procedure: Worship Saraswati (Vidya Devi) and Ganesh before study; light incense; chant "Om Aim Saraswatyai Namah" and "Om Gam Ganapataye Namah"; offer white flowers
  • Frequency: Daily during examination preparation; especially on Wednesdays (Mercury's day)
  • Time: Morning, before studies begin
  • Cautions: Combine with sincere study effort; deity propitiation alone without preparation is insufficient

Remedy — Gemstone finger mapping (Purushartha)

  • Source: class-22 (PVR teaching principle)
  • Type: Gemstone placement guideline
  • For: Optimizing gemstone efficacy based on life purpose
  • Procedure:
    • Dharma purpose → ring finger (4th finger)
    • Artha purpose → middle finger (3rd finger)
    • Kama purpose → little finger (5th finger)
    • Moksha purpose → index finger (2nd finger)
  • Frequency: Worn continuously
  • Time: Energize on the appropriate day of the stone's planet
  • Cautions: Ring finger (Dharma) is the most common recommendation; index finger (Moksha) is for serious spiritual practitioners

Remedy — Narayan Tailam (medicated oil)

  • Source: class-26, nerve-related health advice
  • Type: Ayurvedic treatment (tailam/massage oil)
  • For: Nerve damage, nerve compression, weakness of nerve tissue; Mars-Ketu related physical problems
  • Procedure: Apply Narayan Tailam externally to affected area; massage gently; complement with postural correction
  • Frequency: Daily massage
  • Time: Morning preferred
  • Cautions: Actual healing requires postural correction and muscle strengthening, not just oil; hot water soaking does not help nerve issues; find root postural cause

v2 Batch 4 — Classes 31–40

Remedies — Batch 4 (classes 31–40)

Remedy 31.1 — Durga Worship for Rahu Kala Amrita Chart

  • Source: class-31
  • Chart: Asha (April 5, 1973, 11:42 PM, Secunderabad) — polio in both legs from age 3, Rahu Dasha, Kala Amrita Yoga
  • Remedy prescribed:
    • Worship of Goddess Durga (primary deity remedy)
    • Fasting on Thursdays (connected to Jupiter, which represents expansion and divine grace)
    • Rahu homam (fire ritual specifically for Rahu)
  • Rationale:
    • Durga: The Kala Amrita Yoga creates a situation where all planetary energy is consumed by the Rahu-Ketu axis. Durga is the destroyer of the asura energy — she controls and subdues Rahu-like demonic forces. Worshipping her helps the native reclaim control of the chart's energy.
    • Thursday fasting: Strengthens Jupiter, which is the primary benefic and teacher. In a chart dominated by Rahu, Jupiter worship brings wisdom and grace to counterbalance.
    • Rahu homam: Directly propitiates Rahu to reduce the intensity of its consumptive grip on the chart.
  • PVR note: "These remedies won't cure the polio — that karma is done. But they will help the person navigate the remaining Rahu Dasha more smoothly and find some peace and grace."

Remedy 31.2 — Fixed Lagna for Mantra Muhurta as Karmic Remedy

  • Source: class-34
  • Type: Preventive / structural remedy (choosing the right Muhurta)
  • Remedy: For mantra initiation (diksha) or Upanayana (sacred thread ceremony), always choose a fixed (sthira) Lagna sign: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius.
  • Mechanism: The Lagna at initiation becomes the "birth chart" of the spiritual practice. A fixed Lagna gives the practice a stubborn, bull-like persistence. The person will continue the mantra even through hardships.
  • Contrast: A chara (mobile) Lagna at mantra initiation may give initial enthusiasm, but the practice fades. A dual Lagna gives moderate persistence.
  • Applied in Upanayana context: When PVR helps plan an Upanayana Muhurta, selecting a fixed sign rising ensures the boy will continue the Gayatri mantra practice throughout life.

Remedy 32.1 — Muhurta Selection as Proactive Remedy

  • Source: class-34
  • Type: Proactive timing remedy
  • Principle: Choosing an auspicious Muhurta for any major undertaking (marriage, initiation, business launch, surgery) is itself a remedy. A bad chart has a harder time manifesting fully if the event is initiated at a good Muhurta.
  • Eight-point checklist as remedy framework:
    1. Lagna Shuddhi — clean Lagna (no malefics)
    2. Saptama Shuddhi — clean seventh house
    3. Tara Bala — compatible nakshatra for the native
    4. Tithi — avoid Rikta (4, 9, 14) and Amavasya
    5. Nakshatra — choose auspicious nakshatra (avoid Bharani, Krittika, Ashlesha, Jyeshtha, Mula)
    6. Amavasya Yoga — avoid Sun-Moon conjunction in Muhurta
    7. Mrityu Bhaga — avoid death degrees for Lagna
    8. Chandrabala — favorable Moon position relative to natal Moon
  • PVR rationale: "The Muhurta is like picking the right soil for the seed. Even a good seed struggles in bad soil. Even a weak seed can grow well in perfect soil."

Remedy 32.2 — Upanayana as Spiritual Remedy for Brahmin Boys

  • Source: class-34
  • Type: Samskara (life-rite) with karmic cleansing effect
  • Teaching: Upanayana (sacred thread ceremony) is itself a spiritual remedy — a samskara that marks the beginning of Brahmin life and the daily Gayatri mantra practice. PVR was helping someone plan an Upanayana Muhurta.
  • Why it matters as remedy: Daily recitation of the Gayatri mantra from the time of Upanayana accumulates spiritual merit (punya) that can offset negative karmas in the natal chart. The quality of the Muhurta determines how strong a foundation the practice gets.
  • Special rule for Upanayana Muhurta: Use a fixed (sthira) Lagna (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius) so that the practice taken up will last for life.

Remedy 33.1 — No Amavasya Yoga Shanti for Mundane Charts

  • Source: class-40
  • Type: Clarification on remedy applicability (remedy NOT to be done)
  • Teaching: Amavasya Yoga Shanti (the ritual performed to mitigate the effects of Amavasya Yoga in a natal chart) does NOT apply to Lunar New Year mundane charts.
  • Reason: The Lunar New Year chart is cast at Shukla Pratipada (first day after new moon). By definition, the Sun and Moon will always be very close together in this chart — they just passed the new moon. Amavasya Yoga is structurally built into the chart; it is not an accidental affliction.
  • PVR statement: "The Amavasya Yoga Shanti, all those don't apply to these mundane charts. They apply to natal charts. This chart by definition has Amavasya Yoga."
  • Practical implication: No ritual is needed or appropriate for this chart's Amavasya Yoga. The relevant question is only WHICH HOUSE the Amavasya falls in (which area of national life will be afflicted).

Remedy 33.2 — Tara Bala Check as Personal Timing Remedy

  • Source: class-34
  • Type: Personal timing optimization (not a ritual but a timing principle)
  • Teaching: Even for day-to-day activities (not just major Muhurtas), checking whether the current nakshatra is in a favorable Tara position from one's birth nakshatra helps one time actions for success.
  • Favorable Taras (repeat every 9 nakshatras): Sampat (2nd), Kshema (4th), Sadhana (6th), Mitra (8th), Param Mitra (9th)
  • Avoid: Janma (1st), Vipat (3rd), Pratyak (5th), Naidhana (7th)
  • Practical use: A person can calculate which days/nakshatras in a given month are in favorable Tara from their birth nakshatra and prioritize important work on those days.

v2 Batch 5 — Classes 41–50

Remedies — Batch 5 (v2 Classes 41–50)

Remedy — Lakshmi Narasimha Worship

Source: v48 Type: Devotional worship / deity upasana For: Severe relationship breakdowns, suicidal tendencies, extreme suffering (especially when Trimsamsa shows multiple malefic clusters), damage to Venus or 7th house significations. Procedure: Daily worship of Lakshmi Narasimha (the fierce form of Vishnu / Narasimha with Lakshmi); chanting Narasimha kavacham or the Narasimha mantra. The Ugra Narasimha form is specifically addressed for severe protection. Frequency: Daily, especially during crisis periods; intensified during malefic dasha periods. Time: Typically morning or twilight (sandhya kala) worship; Friday (Venus day) also appropriate given Venus affliction. Cautions: This deity is fierce and requires sincere devotion. Casual chanting without intent is not effective. Should be combined with other stabilizing remedies.

Remedy — Venkateshwara / Ashtakshari Mantra

Source: v44, v47 Type: Mantra / Vishnu upasana For: Career problems, educational obstacles, general Jupiterian and Vishnu-path alignment; Ishta Devata worship for those whose 12th from AK in Navamsa indicates a Vishnu-form deity. Procedure: Chant the Ashtakshari (8-syllable mantra): Om Namo Venktesaya (or the full Ashtakshari: Om Namo Narayanaya). Offered to Venkateshwara (Tirupati Balaji / Lord Vishnu in the Kali Yuga form). Frequency: Daily; minimum 108 times per sitting. Time: Early morning (brahma muhurta) is ideal; also acceptable at sunrise. Cautions: Should be initiated with proper sanctification if possible (pancha samskara); if not, sincere self-initiation with intent suffices. Do not chant mechanically. Notes: Recommended for Kartik (v44) after D20 analysis showed Vishnu as Ishta Devata, and for Srini Nita (v47) for educational improvement.

Remedy — Vidya Ganapati Mantra

Source: v47 Type: Mantra / Ganesha upasana For: Educational obstacles, blocked learning, poor memory, difficulty in concentration or academic success; specifically when D24 shows Mercury or 5th house affliction. Procedure: Chant the Vidya Ganapati mantra (a specific form of Ganesha associated with learning — holds a book and prayer beads). The mantra calls upon Ganapati to remove obstacles to vidya (knowledge/education). One form: Om Gam Vidya Ganapataiye Namaha or the Vidya Ganapati dhyana shloka. Frequency: Daily, especially on Wednesdays (Mercury's day) and Ganesh Chaturthi periods. Time: Morning, before study sessions. Cautions: Best combined with regular study habits — the mantra supports effort, not replaces it. Notes: Recommended for Srini Nita (v47) along with Venkateshwara worship and diamond gemstone for multiple-front approach to educational obstacles.

Remedy — Hanuman Worship / Mars Remedy

Source: v43 Type: Devotional worship / deity upasana For: Obstacles from enemies, lack of courage, property disputes, situations requiring protection (Rahu/Mars afflictions), when Mars is the Ishta Devata indicator (12th from AK in Navamsa = Aries/Scorpio). Procedure: Chanting Hanuman Chalisa, Sundarakanda parayana, or the Hanuman mantra (Om Hanumate Namah). Visiting Hanuman temples on Tuesdays (Mars day) and Saturdays (Shani day — Hanuman's blessing protects from Saturn's harshness as well). Frequency: Weekly minimum (Tuesdays/Saturdays); daily during Mars or Ketu dashas. Time: Sunrise or at dusk on Tuesday/Saturday. Cautions: Do not skip on Tuesdays once started. Consistency is essential for this remedy's power. Notes: Recommended for woman returning to India (v43) after Ishta Devata analysis showed Hanuman/Mars as the primary deity. Also a general protective remedy.

Remedy — Diamond Gemstone (Heera)

Source: v47, v48 Type: Gemstone therapy For: Strengthening Venus — specifically for: marriage and relationship problems (when Venus is afflicted in D1 or in Graha Yuddha), creative/artistic pursuits, vehicle/luxury problems (D16 Venus issues), education support (Venus as lord of educational house in D24). Procedure: Natural, untreated diamond (or high-quality white sapphire as substitute) set in gold or platinum as a ring or pendant. Stone should touch the skin. Worn on the right ring finger or right index finger. Frequency: Worn continuously (24/7 except during sleep or certain ritual periods in some traditions). Time: Should be energized (activated) on a Friday (Venus day) during Venus hora, preferably during a Venus dasha or Venus-ruled nakshatra transit. Cautions: Do not wear diamond if Venus is a functional malefic for the lagna (e.g., if Venus rules 3rd or 8th house predominantly). For Taurus lagna (Venus as lagna lord): excellent. For Aries or Scorpio lagna: Venus rules 7th and 2nd or 12th — assess carefully. Should be prescribed after confirming Venus's functional role. Notes: Recommended for Srini Nita (v47) specifically; also mentioned for Proddatur woman (v48) as Venus was damaged by Graha Yuddha.

Remedy — Sade Sati and Kantakashani Mitigation

Source: v42, v43 Type: Propitiatory / transit mitigation For: Saturn transit pressure periods — Sade Sati (Saturn in 12th/1st/2nd from natal Moon) and Kantakashani (Saturn in 4th or 10th from Moon/lagna). Procedure:

  • Worship of Shani (Saturn): light sesame oil lamp on Saturdays; chant Shani mantra or Shani stotram.
  • Hanuman worship is also prescribed as Hanuman's grace is said to reduce Sade Sati intensity.
  • Donating black sesame seeds, iron items, or mustard oil on Saturdays.
  • Self-discipline practices: fasting on Saturdays, acts of service to the elderly or downtrodden. Frequency: Weekly (every Saturday) throughout the transit period. Time: Saturday evenings, after sunset (Saturn's time is twilight on Saturday). Cautions: Do not start Sade Sati mitigation practices and then abandon them mid-transit — inconsistency aggravates Saturn. Notes: For Shashi (v42) and the woman returning to India (v43), Sade Sati was actively running. Mitigation practices alongside practical planning for the transit period were recommended.

v2 Batch 6 — Classes 51–60

Remedies — Batch 6 (classes 51–60)

Remedy — Aditya Hridayam recitation

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Mantra/stotra (Vedic hymn recitation)
  • For: Career obstacles, health problems, general spiritual progress, activating solar energy; especially for Seshan Subramanian's case (career + health + family pressures)
  • Procedure: Recite the Aditya Hridayam stotra (from Valmiki Ramayana, Yuddha Kanda) with bhava (devotion and feeling). Aim for 3 hours per day of continuous recitation. PVR recommends internalizing the mantra such that it becomes "reflex action" — arising spontaneously in the mind during idle moments.
  • Frequency: Daily; target 3 hours/day for significant progress. Even 1 hour with good focus is more effective than 3 hours of mechanical recitation.
  • Time: Morning preferred (solar energy is strongest); can continue at other times. Brahma muhurta (1.5 hours before sunrise) is ideal for the first session.
  • Cautions: The goal is bhava (feeling of devotion), not mere word-repetition. PVR says mechanical recitation without bhava is "saying words" not "doing mantra." Progress is indicated when the mantra begins arising spontaneously (as a favourite song hums automatically). Do not use this as a quick fix — it requires sustained practice over months/years.

Remedy — Homam (fire ritual)

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Yajna/homa (fire offering)
  • For: Amplifying the effect of mantra japa; purification of the practitioner's energy field; material and spiritual upliftment; especially effective for Pitta and Vata imbalances when combined with appropriate mantras
  • Procedure: Perform homa with fire; chant the relevant mantra (e.g. Aditya Hridayam for solar problems, or specific deity mantras) while offering into the fire. The fire (Pavaka) purifies the vibrations and amplifies them — 1 hour of homam is approximately equivalent to 3 hours of ordinary japa for an average practitioner.
  • Frequency: Regular — weekly or monthly minimum for sustained results; daily if seeking rapid change.
  • Time: Morning, at sunrise or Brahma muhurta. Sunset homam (sandhya) also acceptable.
  • Cautions: Homam requires proper setup and fire safety. PVR notes the amplification factor (1 hr homam ≈ 3 hr japa) applies to an "average mind" — someone with a very concentrated mind already has less need for the fire amplification. The key caution: do not see homam as a substitute for inner discipline — it accelerates the process but does not replace bhava.

Remedy — Shankhapushpi + Brahmi (Ayurvedic herbs for Pitta-nervous problems)

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Ayurvedic herbal remedy
  • For: Pitta-related nervous system problems — anxiety, mental agitation, hot/sharp thought patterns, stress-induced cognitive issues. Indicated when someone has a Pitta-Vata constitution with nervous tension (Seshan's case: career stress + health concerns).
  • Procedure: Take Shankhapushpi and Brahmi together as a combined supplement — available as tablet, powder (churna), or liquid extract. Can be taken with warm milk or water. Follow standard Ayurvedic dosage guidance (consult a vaidya for personalization).
  • Frequency: Daily, typically morning and evening.
  • Time: Morning on empty stomach or with warm milk at night.
  • Cautions: These are cooling herbs that reduce Pitta. If the person has a predominantly Vata or Kapha constitution, excessive use may aggravate those doshas. Brahmi is specifically calming — use in moderation if the person needs to maintain alertness for professional activities.

Remedy — Shatavari (for Pitta imbalance)

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Ayurvedic herbal remedy
  • For: Pitta dosha imbalances, especially when affecting the reproductive system, digestive heat, inflammation, or when the Pitta excess is combined with Vata aggravation. PVR mentioned this alongside Shankhapushpi/Brahmi for Seshan's Pitta-related concerns.
  • Procedure: Taken as powder (churna) or tablet; often combined with warm milk (cow's milk). Classical preparation: 1 tsp Shatavari powder in warm milk with a little ghee before bed.
  • Frequency: Daily, typically at night.
  • Time: Evening / before sleep.
  • Cautions: Shatavari is a Pitta-pacifying, Vata-pacifying herb. Avoid in cases of Ama (undigested toxins) accumulation or congestion, as it is somewhat heavy. Not primarily a nervous system herb — use Shankhapushpi/Brahmi for cognitive/mental symptoms and Shatavari for deeper Pitta/Vata balancing.

Remedy — Jatamansi / Ashwagandha (for Vata-nervous problems)

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Ayurvedic herbal remedy
  • For: Vata-type nervous problems — fear, anxiety, tremors, irregular sleep, nervous exhaustion, bone/joint pain from Vata excess. Contrasts with Shankhapushpi/Brahmi which address Pitta-nervous issues.
  • Procedure: Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera): typically taken as churna with warm milk at night. Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi): used as oil application or internally in small doses for deeper nervous calming.
  • Frequency: Daily; Ashwagandha can be taken morning and night; Jatamansi oil application before sleep.
  • Time: Morning (Ashwagandha for energy) and/or evening (for sleep and nerve calm).
  • Cautions: Ashwagandha is warming and strengthening — may increase Pitta if overused. People with high Pitta should use lower doses. Jatamansi is powerful and should be used judiciously. Determine whether the nervous problem is Pitta-origin (use Shankhapushpi/Brahmi) or Vata-origin (use Jatamansi/Ashwagandha) before prescribing.

Remedy — Diamond (Heera) gemstone

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Gemstone (ratna) therapy
  • For: Venus-related benefits — beauty, comforts, marital happiness, artistic ability, wealth through Venus's significations. Recommended for Seshan's chart where Venus was a strong planet.
  • Procedure: Wear a natural, flawless diamond (minimum quality) set in platinum or white gold on the ring finger of the right hand (or as recommended for the specific lagna). Activate with Venus mantra or by placing in water overnight under moonlight before first wearing.
  • Frequency: Continuous wear; replace or re-energize periodically.
  • Time: Best set and first worn on a Friday (Venus's day) during Venus hora, when Venus is well-placed in transit.
  • Cautions: PVR noted that for Seshan, diamond was recommended OVER yellow sapphire (for Jupiter) because Venus was the stronger planet needing enhancement. Always prioritize the planet that is most beneficial AND most needing support. Using the wrong gemstone can activate the wrong planet and create imbalance. Natural diamonds only — synthetic stones do not carry the planetary vibration.

Remedy — Prashna Validation (Jupiter aspecting lagna lord)

  • Source: class-51
  • Type: Procedural / Validation technique (not a physical remedy but a prerequisite check)
  • For: Ensuring the prashna (horary) chart is valid before giving advice based on it
  • Procedure: After casting the prashna chart, check: (1) Does Jupiter aspect the lagna lord of the prashna chart? (2) Does the prashna lagna or its lord correspond to the nature of the question? (3) Is the 5th from prashna lagna positive (benefic, or favorable)? If Jupiter does NOT aspect the lagna lord, the chart may not be reliable and one should be cautious about giving definitive answers.
  • Frequency: One-time check per prashna
  • Time: N/A — performed at the moment of chart analysis
  • Cautions: If the validation fails (Jupiter does not aspect lagna lord), PVR says you can still observe the chart but should not make strong definitive predictions. You may advise the querent to ask again at a better time, or use other methods (natal chart, D3 for health) instead of relying on the prashna alone.

Remedy — Single-pointed mantra / deity focus (for spiritual seekers)

  • Source: class-52
  • Type: Spiritual practice prescription
  • For: Seekers aiming at moksha or spiritual progress (as opposed to those seeking only material results)
  • Procedure: Choose one deity / one mantra and stick to it. Do not spread effort across multiple mantras, rituals, and deities simultaneously. "Dig in one place" — depth is more important than breadth for spiritual seekers. Choose based on the most prominent planet in the chart or the ishta devata principle.
  • Frequency: Daily, ideally 3 hours/day (see Aditya Hridayam remedy above)
  • Time: Morning (Brahma muhurta) + other sittings throughout the day
  • Cautions: This single-pointed rule applies to spiritual seekers. For those with purely material problems, PVR allows worshipping multiple deities appropriate to each problem (different gods for different issues). The error is trying to use a material-problem approach for spiritual goals — it keeps the mind scattered. PVR's analogy: digging one deep well for water vs. digging multiple shallow holes for sand.

v2 Batch 7 — Classes 61–70

Remedies — Batch 7 (v61–v70)

Source: PVR Narasimha Rao, BPHS Chapter 33 Classes

Remedy — Tryambakam Homam for Health

  • Source: Class 70
  • Type: Fire ritual (Homam)
  • For: Chronic health problems, bone/joint issues, physical suffering; especially useful when Dasha shows suffering in D30/D6
  • Procedure: Perform homam with the mantra "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam / Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Mamritat" (Mrityunjaya Mantra). Main offering: Darbha grass (sacred grass/kusha) dipped in payasam (rice-milk pudding). Token offerings of Darbha-payasam; remainder of offerings can be ghee, rice, molasses.
  • Frequency: Regular basis; daily if possible during problematic Dasha period
  • Time: Morning is preferred; any Shiva auspicious time
  • Cautions: If unable to sit cross-legged due to disability, sitting on a chair is acceptable — keep the homakunda at a height above the worshipper's eye level (on a table). The most important posture requirement is a straight back, not leg position.

  • Source: Class 70
  • Type: Stotra/protective prayer chanting
  • For: Health problems during Jupiter Dasha, especially when Jupiter is malefic in D6/D30; hip/liver/bone problems; chronic suffering under Jupiter Mahadasha
  • Procedure: Chant the Brihaspati (Guru) Kavacham from any standard Navagraha Stotram book (easily available in South India, especially Andhra Pradesh). Books contain Mantram, Kavacham, Stotram for all 9 planets.
  • Frequency: Daily reading/chanting
  • Time: Thursday mornings preferred (Jupiter's day)
  • Cautions: Should be combined with Tryambakam Homam for maximum effect; the Kavacham provides protection while homam propitiates the planet

Remedy — Aditya Hridayam (for job/career)

  • Source: Class 69
  • Type: Stotra chanting
  • For: Job seeking, career obstacles, need for recognition and opportunity; recommended when Sun Dasha or strong Sun placement is involved
  • Procedure: Chant Aditya Hridayam daily; it is from the Valmiki Ramayana, spoken by sage Agastya to Rama before battle with Ravana; invoking the Sun for strength and success
  • Frequency: Daily, ideally 108 times or at least one complete recitation
  • Time: Sunrise (Brahma Muhurta) to noon — Sun hours; Sunday is ideal but daily practice is recommended
  • Cautions: This remedy was specifically recommended for Karthik (job seeker, Cancer Lagna) during his chart analysis in Class 69

Remedy — Guru Propitiation (Jupiter worship)

  • Source: Class 70
  • Type: Deity worship + homam
  • For: Health problems during Jupiter Dasha, especially with Tamasic influence (Rahu/Ketu with Jupiter, debilitation in D30)
  • Procedure: When Jupiter has Tamasic influence (e.g., dispositor is in Capricorn, or associated with Rahu/Ketu), do NOT worship merely Sadashiva (too Sattvic). Instead worship a more active Shiva form: Mrityunjaya (Tryambaka), Rudra (via Rudram chanting), or Nataraja. The Tamasic energy needs a more energetic response than Sattvic worship.
  • Frequency: Daily during Jupiter Dasha if health problems are present
  • Time: Any auspicious time; Thursday preferred for Jupiter; Shiva times (Mondays, Pradosham) for Shiva-form worship
  • Cautions: Matching the deity's form to the nature of the planet's affliction is important — Sattvic deity for Sattvic problems, more energetic deity for Tamasic problems

Remedy — Gemstone Prescription Principles

  • Source: Class 70
  • Type: Gemstone
  • For: General wellbeing; only when the planet is beneficial across multiple charts
  • Procedure: Before prescribing any gemstone: (1) Check if the planet is a natural benefic or malefic. (2) Check its functional nature in Rasi chart. (3) ALSO check its position, lordship, and strength in D6 (Shashtamsa) and D30 (Trimsamsa). (4) Only recommend if the planet shows no major malefic agenda in D6/D30. If planet is malefic in D6/D30, wearing its gemstone during its Dasha can worsen health problems significantly.
  • Frequency: Worn continuously once prescribed
  • Time: Prescribed according to the planet's day and hora for first wearing
  • Cautions: Emerald (Mercury) was worn by Srirama (Pisces Lagna, Aquarius-5, 1951) — but Mercury is 7th lord (Maraka) in 6th house of sickness; this is contra-indicated and PVR advised against it. Red coral (Mars/9th lord) was suggested as a safer option for general divine protection.

Remedy — Chandi Sadhana (Durga/Rahu propitiation)

  • Source: Class 69
  • Type: Sadhana/homam
  • For: When Rahu (or Saturn in malefic sign) strongly influences 12th from Atmakaraka in D20; when Rahu is associated with 8th or 12th houses from AK; for intense spiritual sadhana and breaking ego attachments
  • Procedure: Daily Chandi Path (reading of Devi Mahatmyam/Durga Saptashati) and/or Chandi Homam. The practice of Chandi involves invoking Shakti (Divine Mother in fierce form) to destroy internal enemies (kama, krodha, lobha, moha, mada, matsarya).
  • Frequency: Daily (PVR does Chandi homam every day)
  • Time: Any time; early morning preferred for maximum benefit
  • Cautions: Chandi/Durga is not "black magic" — it is the internal battle for self-control. The Devi Mahatmyam has both gross (literal story) and subtle (psychological) meanings. Each rakshasa represents an internal weakness. This sadhana was triggered for PVR during Mercury-Rahu period and continues as his primary practice.

Remedy — Self-Performed Sadhana over Priest-Performed Rituals

  • Source: Class 70 (citing Parashara Smriti / Parashara Mahatmyam)
  • Type: Philosophical principle / practice guideline
  • For: All propitiatory rituals; applicable to all health, career, and spiritual remedies
  • Procedure: Do the remedy yourself rather than having a priest do it. If you cannot do it, having a family member (especially a child) do it in your name is second best. A son doing in a parent's name is vastly more effective than a hired priest because of deeper identification and love.
  • Authority: Parashara Smriti for Kali Yuga (as summarized in Parashara Mahatmyam by Madhvacharya): Self (1 million units of power) > Son (10,000 units) > Disciple (100 units) > Priest (1 unit)
  • Cautions: In Kali Yuga, priests with genuine sadhana-shakti capable of resolving others' karma are extremely rare. Depending entirely on priests is inadvisable. The goal is to inspire people to do their own sadhana.

v2 Batch 8 — Classes 71–80

Remedies — Batch 8 (v71–v80)

Master sheet of remedial measures taught in this batch.

Remedy — Aditya Hridayam (for weak or afflicted Sun)

  • Source: v72 (Murali career chart)
  • Type: Prayer / Stotra recitation
  • For: Weak Sun; career instability when Sun is the 10th lord; when 10th lord Sun is in 12th house of D10 with afflictions; any situation where Sun needs strengthening
  • Procedure: Memorize Aditya Hridayam (a powerful hymn to the Sun found in the Ramayana); recite it 3 times daily
  • Frequency: Daily, every day without break
  • Time: Morning (sunrise is ideal, but any time of day works for the 3-time recitation)
  • Cautions:
    • PVR emphasizes this should be Ajapa Japa — meaning it eventually becomes a constant reverberation in the mind. Just doing it once without commitment won't work.
    • Don't skip days. Consistency is more important than perfection of pronunciation.
    • This remedy is specifically for Sun. Do not substitute this for Saturn or other planet issues.

Remedy — Surya Mantra (for career and solar strength)

  • Source: v72 (Murali career chart)
  • Type: Mantra recitation (japa)
  • For: Weak Sun in career chart (D10); generally for anyone with solar weakness in career, health, or dharma
  • Procedure: Option A: "Om Bhuh Svaha Suryah Aditya Om" (Manu's Ashtakshara mantra of Sun) — recite as Ajapa Japa throughout the day Option B: "Om Soom Suryaya Namah" — simple, easy to memorize, can be done at any time
  • Frequency: Ajapa Japa = continuous mental repetition whenever mind is free; plus 3 formal recitations of Aditya Hridayam daily
  • Time: Any time; continuous Ajapa Japa is the goal
  • Cautions:
    • Pick ONE mantra and stay with it. Don't switch between mantras. "The power of a simple mantra is you can do it all the time."
    • PVR: "If you start doing any mantra, it will really start giving results. The mantra should be reverberating in your mind all the time."
    • Propitiation of Sun is necessary BEFORE Venus or Jupiter dashas can help — if the 10th lord Sun is severely weak, no favorable dasha will truly help until Sun is strengthened.

Remedy — Graha Pravesh Muhurta (for a new house)

  • Source: v71 (Graha Pravesh muhurta for Nashua NH, Jan 11, 2011)
  • Type: Muhurta selection (auspicious timing)
  • For: Moving into a new home; entering a house for the first time with intention to stay
  • Procedure:
    1. Identify what the family most wants from the house (dharma, marriage, children, career stability, wealth, etc.)
    2. Ensure Lagna is strong — this is NON-NEGOTIABLE as it is the foundation
    3. Ensure 4th house is strong — it represents the house itself
    4. Strengthen the house representing the desired result (9th for dharma, 5th for children, 10th for career, 7th for marriage improvement)
    5. Pick Moon nakshatra that is auspicious relative to janma nakshatra; verify tara
    6. Pick a good tithi (Saptami = good; Chaturthi = not good)
    7. Consider the vara (weekday) in light of the person's lagna
    8. Verify in Navamsa lagna also
  • Frequency: One-time event
  • Time: Must correspond to actual intention to stay in the house
  • Cautions:
    • You cannot "cheat" by doing a ceremony in a house not yet ready. The actual Graha Pravesh must be when you physically move in with the intention to live there.
    • If Lagna is in a dual sign: medium-term stay (5-10 years). Fixed = very long stay. Mobile = short stay.
    • PVR: "You can't really cheat whoever is maintaining the order in the universe. So there are all these tactics people use today. Unfortunately, these are just misunderstandings."
    • Don't attempt a ceremonial muhurta for a house that is not yet ready for habitation.
    • The Navamsa Lagna should be strong (ideally have Jupiter in Lagna or as Lagna lord for Sri Rama Raksha).

Remedy — Saturn propitiation (for career when Saturn afflicts Sun)

  • Source: v72 (Murali career chart, implicit)
  • Type: Propitiation mantra/ritual
  • For: When Saturn is severely afflicting the Sun (or 10th lord) in the Dasamsa
  • Procedure: Propitiate Saturn so he "backs off" from harming the Sun. However, PVR notes: Saturn propitiation alone is NOT enough when Sun himself is also weak.
  • Frequency: Regular; daily Saturn mantra or regular worship
  • Time: Saturday recommended traditionally
  • Cautions:
    • If the 10th lord Sun is in an inimical sign OR in the 12th house of D10 (regardless of Saturn's aspect), Sun himself must also be propitiated directly.
    • Saturn propitiation can reduce the negative influence of Saturn on Sun, but if Sun is inherently weak in D10 (e.g., in 12th house of D10), the root problem remains.
    • Do not rely on Saturn propitiation alone; Sun propitiation must accompany it.

  • Source: v75 (bank manager legal trouble chart, Seshu's advice)
  • Type: Devi mantra / Durga worship
  • For: Rahu Mahadasha causing troubles; Rahu as functional malefic causing career or legal issues
  • Procedure: Recite "Dum Durgaay Namah" as japa; regularily
  • Frequency: Daily japa
  • Time: Mornings or evenings; or any regular time
  • Cautions:
    • This was recommended by Seshu (student) in the class; PVR neither endorsed nor explicitly corrected it. Use with discernment.
    • Ruby ring: Seshu noted the lady was wearing a ruby ring (for Sun). PVR implied this may not be appropriate during a period when Sun is afflicted in transit (Sun in 8th house in TP). Caution with gemstones during malefic planetary periods.

Remedy — Choosing the right field/path (career realignment)

  • Source: v72 (Murali career), v73 (Satish vehicular accident), v74 (Kumar career)
  • Type: Practical life adjustment (not mantra-based)
  • For: When natal chart shows structural career weakness; career field is fundamentally misaligned
  • Procedure:
    • Identify the planet with strongest aspect on the 10th house in D10 (if 10th lord is weak, look at aspectors)
    • Read that planet's signification as the career direction
    • Prefer self-employment over employment when 10th lord is weak but 7th house is strong
    • For Murali: Venus (in Aquarius) aspecting D10 10th house most strongly → agriculture-related beauty products, landscaping, or small business in arts/crafts/nature
  • Frequency: Permanent life choice
  • Cautions:
    • Avoid career fields shown by severely afflicted planets in D10. Going into software (shown by afflicted Saturn) despite the chart pointing to Venus/agriculture-related work = going against the chart.
    • "Without Sun propitiation, nothing is going to happen" — remedy must accompany the practical realignment.

v2 Batch 9 — Classes 81–90

Remedies — Batch 9 (v2, classes 81–90)

Remedy — 1 (Sarpa Abhishekam for Moon in Ashlesha / Gandanta)

Source: class-89 Type: Ritualistic / water offering For: Moon in Gandanta, Moon in Sarpa Nakshatra (Ashlesha), Moon and Mercury in Sarpa Drekkana; developmental problems, autism spectrum, emotional hypersensitivity Procedure: Obtain a small silver or copper idol of a snake (Naga). Place it in the puja room. Each morning, pour milk (abhishekam) over the idol while chanting a mantra for Sarpa Devata / Nageshwara. If formal Vedic mantras are not available, chant "Om Nageshwaraya Namah" repeatedly (minimum 3 times, ideally more) while performing the milk offering. Frequency: Daily, every morning Time: Morning puja time Cautions: The milk offering should be done with full attention and devotion, not hurriedly. The idol should remain in a dedicated puja space and not be moved casually. If possible, also arrange for a formal Sarpa Abhishekam (priest-conducted) at a Naga temple (e.g., Subramanya temple) at least once.

Remedy — 2 (Chamundeswari Worship for Moon-Mars-Sarpa affliction)

Source: class-89 Type: Deity worship / stotra chanting For: Moon in Sarpa Nakshatra (Ashlesha) with Mars association; Moon and Mercury in Sarpa Drekkana; D30 Moon with malefic connections; general Moon weakness with Rahu/Ketu or Mars affliction Procedure: Daily recitation of Chamundeswari Stotra. Alternatively, chant the Navarna Mantra (Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundayai Vichche) a minimum of 108 times daily. Ideally, offer fresh flowers or red hibiscus and a lamp to the deity. Frequency: Daily, or at minimum every Monday (Moon's day) Time: Early morning or evening puja time Cautions: Chamundeswari is a fierce form of Devi (Kali aspect). The worship should be approached with sincerity. Consistent daily practice over months is needed — do not expect immediate results.

Remedy — 3 (Sarpa Suktam / Ashlesha Mantra Chanting)

Source: class-89 Type: Vedic mantra recitation For: Moon in Ashlesha Nakshatra (Sarpa Nakshatra); Moon and planets in Sarpa Drekkana; Naga-related karmic issues Procedure: Chant either (a) Sarpa Suktam from Atharva Veda, or (b) the Ashlesha mantra from the Navagraha Suktam (the mantra associated with Ashlesha nakshatra, which is a Sarpa mantra). If possible, perform this chanting while also doing abhishekam to the Naga idol. Frequency: Daily, or minimally on Mondays and Tuesdays Time: Morning Cautions: If the person is a child unable to chant, parents should chant on the child's behalf. The combination of Sarpa Abhishekam + Chamundeswari + Sarpa Suktam creates the strongest remedy for Sarpa-afflicted Moon.

Remedy — 4 (Gandanta Shanti for Moon in Gandanta)

Source: class-89 Type: Ritual / homa For: Any person born with Moon within ~1° of a water-fire sign junction (Cancer/Leo, Scorpio/Sagittarius, Pisces/Aries) Procedure: Perform the Gandanta Shanti puja as described in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. This typically involves a specially conducted homa (fire ritual) with invocations to the presiding deities of the nakshatra. For Ashlesha Gandanta specifically, a Sarpa homa or an Ashlesha Shanti homa is performed. Frequency: At least once at birth or early childhood; can be repeated if serious problems manifest Time: An auspicious time chosen by a qualified priest Cautions: This is a one-time ritual, not a daily practice. The daily practices (Naga abhishekam, Chamundeswari) complement it but do not replace it.

Remedy — 5 (Krishna / Gauri Worship for Moon strengthening)

Source: class-89 Type: Deity worship For: General Moon weakness; emotional instability; mind-world interaction problems Procedure: Worship of Krishna (Govinda, Gopala forms) or Gauri/Parvati. Offer white flowers, white sweets, and milk on Mondays. Chant Krishna-related mantras or Parvati-related stotras. Frequency: Daily or every Monday Time: Evening/night (Moon's time) Cautions: Choose a specific form and stick with it consistently rather than alternating between multiple deities.

Remedy — 6 (Behavioral Remedy for Autism / Weak Moon)

Source: class-89 Type: Behavioral / lifestyle For: Children with weak Moon (Gandanta, Sarpa nakshatra, Sarpa Drekkana) showing developmental delays or autism spectrum characteristics Procedure: Actively break the child's tendency to withdraw into routines and self-isolation. Talk to the child constantly even when they seem not to understand — this stimulates the Moon's capacity to connect sounds and images. Introduce varied stimuli (new environments, new people, new activities) rather than restricting to familiar routines. Be kind but firm — do not let the child retreat into repetitive behaviors unchallenged. Frequency: Ongoing, daily lifestyle change Cautions: Do not focus only on the child's existing strengths to console yourself — specifically target the weak areas (interaction, communication, flexibility). Work with qualified developmental specialists alongside the astrological and spiritual remedies. The chart shows the Moon's weakness is in the mind-world interface, not in fundamental intelligence — this means the problem is addressable with sufficient, consistent effort.

v2 Batch 10 — Classes 91–100

Remedies — Batch 10 (v2, classes 91–99)

Remedy — Aditya Hridayam (Surya stotra)

  • Source: class-96
  • Type: Mantra / stotra
  • For: Weak or eclipsed Sun (especially Sun conjunct Ketu in Navamsa causing marriage delay); strengthening confidence, authority, visibility
  • Procedure: Recite the Aditya Hridayam (hymn from Valmiki Ramayana, chapter of Agastya teaching Rama) daily, ideally at sunrise facing east.
  • Frequency: Daily, especially during Saturn or Ketu antardasha when Sun is afflicted
  • Time: Sunrise or within the first two hours of sunrise
  • Cautions: This is a powerful Sun-strengthening stotra; those with Sun as 6th or 8th lord should use with awareness as strengthening the Sun also amplifies those house effects.

Remedy — Mrityunjaya Mantra (Om Tryambakam)

  • Source: class-94
  • Type: Mantra
  • For: Life-threatening illness, coma, surgery, near-death situations; Saturn maraka dasha; 8th house heavy affliction
  • Procedure: "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam | Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityormukshiya Mamritat." Recite minimum 108 times daily; ideally 1008 times in serious illness cases. Can be chanted by family members on behalf of the patient.
  • Frequency: Daily; increase during crisis periods (maraka dasha junction, stationary Saturn transiting 8th lord)
  • Time: Early morning (Brahma muhurta) preferred; can be done any time
  • Cautions: Should be initiated properly; family chanting on behalf of a comatose patient is valid per PVR.

Remedy — Rudra Namakam and Chamakam

  • Source: class-92, class-94
  • Type: Vedic parayana (recitation)
  • For: Saturn afflictions, seven-and-a-half year Saturn (Sade Sati), Saturn as 6th or 8th lord activated; chronic Vata disease during Saturn dasha
  • Procedure: Recite Sri Rudram (Namakam chapter: "Namah te Astu Bhagavan" etc.) followed by Chamakam. Can be done independently or as part of Rudra Abhishekam at a Shiva temple.
  • Frequency: Minimum once a week (Monday); daily during heavy Saturn periods
  • Time: Morning, before noon; Monday preferred
  • Cautions: Full correct pronunciation is important; incorrect pronunciation does not cause harm but reduces efficacy.

Remedy — Hanuman Chalisa

  • Source: class-92, class-94, class-99
  • Type: Devotional hymn (stotra)
  • For: Saturn-Mars combination; Mars-Rahu combination; military/police career people (Mars dominant charts); protection from accidents and enemies; also for Ketu Mahadasha with Saturn antardasha
  • Procedure: Recite the 40-verse Hanuman Chalisa daily; on Tuesdays and Saturdays recite in front of a Hanuman image or temple.
  • Frequency: Daily (especially for heavy Mars or Saturn-Mars periods)
  • Time: Sunrise or before bed (both are traditional times for Hanuman worship)
  • Cautions: Hanuman is considered especially protective for people in military or competitive fields; PVR recommends for Mars-dominant charts.

Remedy — Ganapati Homam (Ganapati fire ritual)

  • Source: class-92
  • Type: Homam (fire ritual)
  • For: Mercury-Ketu combination in Gemini or 3rd house; autism or neurological conditions; obstacles in communication and learning; Ketu eclipsing Mercury in D30
  • Procedure: Have a Ganapati Homam performed by a qualified priest using the Ganapati sukta mantras. If full homam is not feasible, Deepa Homam (lamp homam with Ganapati mantras) is an acceptable alternative.
  • Frequency: Once for an acute situation; annually during Ketu period for ongoing protection
  • Time: Ganesh Chaturthi (Bhadrapada Shukla 4th Tithi) is ideal; otherwise any auspicious time selected by the priest
  • Cautions: Homam requires a qualified priest and proper materials (ghee, sesame, specific samidhā sticks). Deepa Homam is the simplified version.

Remedy — Sita Rama Puja

  • Source: class-92
  • Type: Deity worship / puja
  • For: Moon-Mercury afflictions affecting the mind and communication; family well-being; autism charts; Rahu-Ketu-Sun afflictions on Moon and Mercury
  • Procedure: Daily puja to Sita-Rama icon or image; offer flowers, incense, and lamp; recite Rama nama or Rama Raksha Stotra.
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Time: Morning puja at sunrise or early morning
  • Cautions: Sita represents the Moon principle (mind, nurturing); Rama represents dharma and the Sun principle; combined worship addresses both afflictions simultaneously.

Remedy — Vishnu Sahasranama

  • Source: class-95
  • Type: Stotra (1000 names of Vishnu)
  • For: Mercury-Saturn combination; career stability; education difficulties; nervous system issues; Virgo/Capricorn combinations
  • Procedure: Recite the Vishnu Sahasranama (1000 names from Mahabharata, Anushasana Parva) daily, ideally from the full text with correct pronunciation.
  • Frequency: Daily; especially on Saturdays and Wednesdays
  • Time: Morning, after bath
  • Cautions: A shorter version (108 names) is acceptable if the full 1000 is not feasible. This remedy is also recommended for Moon in Scorpio with Rahu.

Remedy — Durga Saptashati (Chandi Path)

  • Source: class-95, class-96
  • Type: Stotra / parayana
  • For: Moon in Scorpio with Rahu; mental disturbances; delayed marriage (as supporting remedy with Navarna mantra); protection from enemies; 8th house afflictions
  • Procedure: Recite the 700 verses of Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmyam) in full or specific chapters. Can be heard as audio recitation if reading the Sanskrit is not feasible.
  • Frequency: Weekly (on Fridays or during Navaratri); daily during crisis periods
  • Time: Evening / night (Devi is a night deity); or early morning before sunrise
  • Cautions: Full path is intense; abbreviated versions (just Devi Kavacham or Argala) are acceptable as a daily practice.

Remedy — Navarna Mantra (Chandika mantra)

  • Source: class-96
  • Type: Mantra
  • For: Mars-Saturn-Rahu combinations; delayed marriage when multiple malefics afflict 7th house; Scorpio lagna with Saturn afflictions
  • Procedure: "Om Hrim Klim Chamundaye Vichche" — repeat 108 times daily with a rosary (mala) of rudraksha or crystal beads.
  • Frequency: Daily; 108 repetitions minimum
  • Time: Morning or evening; during sandhya (twilight) is most powerful
  • Cautions: This is a Shakti mantra with strong energy; those sensitive to intense mantras should start with fewer repetitions and increase gradually.

Remedy — Pranayama (for Saturn / Vata disturbances)

  • Source: class-99
  • Type: Yogic practice / spiritual remedy
  • For: Saturn antardasha causing Vata imbalance; respiratory issues; mental instability and anxiety; nervous system dysregulation; connection between pranamaya kosha (breath) and manomaya kosha (mind)
  • Procedure: Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing): breathe in through one nostril (no sound), breathe out through the other; repeat without holding breath. No sound during breathing. Stop at 85% lung capacity (before strain). Duration: 10 minutes daily. Optional: silently chant a short mantra (Om Namah Shivaya, Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha) to the divine within during inhalation; imagine offering the breath to God outside during exhalation.
  • Frequency: Daily, 10 minutes minimum
  • Time: Morning preferred; also valuable when anxiety or respiratory symptoms arise acutely
  • Cautions: Avoid aggressive forceful breathing (audible breath = muscular strain that disrupts nervous balance). Kapalbhati can be added but the gentle Anulom Vilom is the primary recommendation for Vata conditions.

Remedy — Dashamoola-Haritaki tea

  • Source: class-99
  • Type: Ayurvedic herbal remedy
  • For: Vata imbalance; respiratory problems; chronic dryness; digestive Vata accumulation; Saturn antardasha health issues
  • Procedure: Mix half-spoon Haritaki powder (Sanskrit: haritaki; Telugu: karakkaaya; Hindi: harar/harde) and half-spoon Dashamoola powder in one cup water. Boil for 5–10 minutes. Let stand several hours; filter; drink the cooled or lukewarm essence. Available from banjanbotanicals.com or Indian grocery stores.
  • Frequency: Once daily, in the evening 1–2 hours after dinner or before sleep
  • Time: Evening / night
  • Cautions: Dashamoola-haritaki rasayana (prepared paste form) is also available from Indian Ayurvedic suppliers and is an acceptable alternative, though slower-acting than the fresh tea.

Remedy — Neti (nasal cleansing)

  • Source: class-99
  • Type: Yogic cleansing practice (Shatkarma)
  • For: Recurrent nasal/ear/respiratory infections; Vata-related sinus dryness; nasal congestion
  • Procedure: Use a neti pot with lukewarm saline water (option: add a pinch of turmeric). First boil the water with turmeric, filter, cool to lukewarm. Pour through one nostril while tilting head; let water exit through the other nostril. Do not use unboiled tap water (risk of amoeba entering nasal cavity close to brain).
  • Frequency: Weekly; not daily. Twice a week maximum during active infection period.
  • Time: Morning, before eating
  • Cautions: Always use pre-boiled water; never use cold water. If experiencing active ear infection, avoid until ear is clear.

Remedy — Vata-pacifying diet guidelines

  • Source: class-91, class-99
  • Type: Dietary remedy
  • For: Vata imbalance; Saturn dasha respiratory and nervous issues; waning-Moon charts with Vata predominance
  • Procedure: Avoid dry, rough, cold foods; avoid eggplant (brinjal), raw onions, excess aloo (potato) especially at night. Favor: moong dal, green beans, carrots, squashes, yogurt, buttermilk. Spices: coriander, cumin, fennel, cardamom, cinnamon (mild, non-pungent). Reduce ginger, black pepper, and red chili (too heating + drying). Eat warm, moist, well-cooked foods.
  • Frequency: Ongoing as dietary regimen during the afflicting period
  • Time: N/A (dietary)
  • Cautions: Do not over-correct toward Vata-pacifying if underlying constitution is Pitta — over-cooling will create Kapha stagnation. Maintain 85% adherence; extreme restriction is itself a Vata aggravator.

Remedy — Worshipping Ganesha (for Rahu as Amatyakaraka)

  • Source: class-99
  • Type: Deity worship
  • For: Career obstruction when Rahu is Amatyakaraka (Jaimini career significator); also when Ketu dasha activates Ganesha (6th lord connection); general obstacle removal
  • Procedure: Daily puja to Ganesha; recite Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha 108 times; offer durva grass, modaka, and red flowers on Wednesdays and during Ketu periods.
  • Frequency: Daily or minimum on Wednesdays
  • Time: Morning, before noon
  • Cautions: When Rahu is Amatyakaraka, both propitiating Rahu directly and worshipping Ganesha (remover of obstacles that Rahu creates) are valid; PVR here specifically recommends Ganesha.

Remedy — Lakshmi Narayana worship (for Venus-Mercury Raja Yoga in D10)

  • Source: class-99
  • Type: Deity worship
  • For: Strengthening Venus-Mercury combination in D10; amplifying meticulous planning, intelligence, and career rise in elite fields; also general welfare for charts with strong Venus and Mercury
  • Procedure: Daily puja to Lakshmi-Narayana image; recite Vishnu Sahasranama or Sri Suktam; offer lotus flowers, yellow/white flowers, and tulsi leaves.
  • Frequency: Daily; especially on Fridays (Venus) and Wednesdays (Mercury)
  • Time: Morning, after bath
  • Cautions: This worship accentuates already-strong Venus-Mercury; it amplifies existing Raja Yoga rather than creating new potential. Best used to elevate the ceiling of an already good career.
