⏳ Muhurta — Priority Weighting Discussion

Question Raised

A student fixed a Muhurta for a girl's ceremony in Bhadrapada Masa (November 23). All five Panchanga elements (tithi, nakshatra, vara, yoga, karana) were excellent. Sarvala and Chandrabala were good for both parties; the only mismatch was Bhadrapada Masa itself. A local priest advised them to ignore the Muhurta because of the month — they performed the ceremony on the 7th, a day with poor Sarvala and Chandrabala.

Key Teachings

[!IMPORTANT] Muhurta is judged by what happens AFTER it, not by whether it was executed. If someone cannot execute a good Muhurta, that reflects their current Dasha/Gochara weakness — not a flaw in the Muhurta chosen.

[!NOTE] The time when you SELECT the Muhurta also matters. A weakness in the chart at the moment of selection can sabotage the advice itself, causing the person to ignore it.

Priority order for Muhurta factors (high → low):

[!TIP] Bhadrapada Masa is generally inauspicious for new starts. Shravana Masa (Shiva's month) is highly auspicious. But a bad Tithi/Nakshatra in an auspicious month is worse than a good Tithi/Nakshatra in Bhadrapada.

[!WARNING] Priests who work only from Panchanga thumb-rules (not full astrological analysis) can select severely flawed Muhurtas. One cited example: a bridegroom who had ₹50 lakh/year turnover was reduced to penury within six months of a marriage performed at a badly chosen Muhurta.

🏠 Chart 1 — Timing a House Sale (Srinivas Krovi)

Birth data: 1 September 1955, 5:30 PM IST, Machilipatnam (Bandar), India (16°10′N, 81°08′E)

Situation: Subject relocated to North Carolina; house in previous city not yet sold.

Vimshottari Dasha Analysis (D4)

[!NOTE] Ayanamsha note: The newer JHora 7.05 uses Lahiri Ayanamsha with a fixed ecliptic plane (not oscillating). All planetary longitudes shift by different amounts, affecting Shodashamsha dates and Tithi Pravesh timing by 5–10 minutes. Always clarify which version is in use.

D4 Analysis (Chaturthamsa — property):

• D4 Lagna: Aquarius; A4 (house pad): Leo (contains Rahu)
• ♄ Saturn is in 12th from A4 → already shows displacement/change of residence (fulfilled — he moved to NC)
• A11 (gain pad) is in same sign as A4 (Leo)
• ☿ Mercury in D4: 2nd from A4 (Marakasthana) and 8th from Lagna → sudden gain; exalted in own sign; gives Sara Yoga; functional benefic (5th + 8th lord); has Argala on A11

D4 Conclusion:
  Saturn Pratyantar  → Result likely already given (displacement)
  Mercury Pratyantar → Sudden financial gain from house sale ✓

Narayana Dasha (D4):

• Running: Pisces Dasha, last 1/3 (Jupiter's sub-period)
• Jupiter = 2nd + 11th lord in D4 → gain from house dealings

Prashna confirmation: A mental Prashna done earlier (July, without software) also indicated "3-4 months, sudden, with compromise."

Progressed Lagna = Cancer (5th from Pisces via Leo):

• ♂ Mars + ☊ Rahu in 8th → extremely intense sadhana
• ☿ Mercury + ♀ Venus (4th + 12th lords) in 12th house → Bahya Sannyasa or Antar Sannyasa

[!IMPORTANT] Twelfth house strength = progress toward Moksha. Real Sannyasa is Kartrutva Bhava Tyaga — giving up ownership over one's actions while still living in the world. This is higher than wearing orange robes.

In multiple verified examples, this combination in the Dasha Pravesh correlates with experiences of going beyond the mind. The current Dasha (until ~2012) is highly auspicious for advanced sadhana.

[!NOTE] The 9th + 8th lord Parivartana in natal chart can show loss of the light — a tendency toward losing focus in religious practice. But the correct Antardasha can correct this. The Libra Dasha Pravesh combination more than compensates.

Conclusion: This person's spiritual journey is not finished. Much more is to come. Fresh sincere effort must begin to utilize this exceptional astrological window.
