[!WARNING] Current position on mundane astrology: The teacher tested 20–25 major historical events against both Lunar New Year charts and Solar New Year charts under both Drik Siddhanta and Surya Siddhanta. Kali Yuga Starting Point Problem {#kali-yuga}

The root issue with mundane chart definition:

[!IMPORTANT] At the start of Krta Yuga (beginning of current Mahayuga cycle), all planets were at 0° Aries and Sun–Moon conjoined. But at the start of Kali Yuga, as per Surya Siddhanta:

• Only mean Sun and mean Moon were at 0° with corrections (samskara)

This means all current New Year definitions (Sun entering Aries for Solar New Year; Sun–Moon conjunction in Pisces for Lunar New Year) may have been appropriate for Krta Yuga but may be off by ~2° for Kali Yuga.

Proposed alternative definitions (unverified):

• Solar New Year = when Sun reaches ~2° Aries (matching Sun's position at Kali Yuga start)
• Lunar New Year = when Sun–Moon angle matches the specific angle at Kali Yuga start

[!NOTE] Because the Lagna is at ~1.5° Aries, several divisional charts (D-9 Navamsa, D-10 Dashamsa, D-4 Chaturthamsa) all have Aries as their Lagna — the same sign rising in multiple charts. This is expected mathematically when natal Lagna is in the first 1.5° of any sign.

D-10 Dashamsa: Surgeon Career {#d10-surgeon}

D-10 Lagna: Aries

[!IMPORTANT] Sun + Mars in 6th house = Surgeon indicator. Both are fierce, aggressive planets. Mars = karaka for enterprise and surgical action (using instruments, doing delicate work). Sun = royal force and heat. Their Rajayoga in the 6th house of service/healing indicates a highly active hands-on healer. Mars specifically is the planet of surgeons (not merely doctors).

Why he runs his own clinic even though 6th house is prominent:

D-9 Navamsa Marriage Verification {#vasudeva-d9}

D-9 Lagna: Aries (same as Rasi — first degrees)

Key D-9 chart positions (Aries Lagna):

Rajayoga in 9th house of Dharma: Moon (4th lord, Sukha) + Mars (Lagna lord) + Sun (5th lord, Purva Phalguni) — all three are friends. Moon and Mars are within 2° of each other; Sun not far behind. Saturn nearby is the only problematic planet.

Marriage Dasha: Moon MD, Jupiter AD (August 27, 1998)

[!IMPORTANT] Why Jupiter AD and not Sun AD? Sun is technically a stronger functional benefic (5th lord only vs Jupiter's 9th+12th). But:

• Jupiter is the dispositor of all three Rajayoga planets (Moon, Mars, Sun) in his sign
• When a powerful Rajayoga exists and the dispositor is a functional benefic in a friendly position (adhimitra sthana), the dispositor gives the result of the entire yoga
• Sun AD would have been possible too (two thousand and four), but Jupiter came at the right time

General rule restated: In divisional chart analysis, look at only the functional benefics. Parasara's rule: subha grahas give subha, papa grahas give papa. Marriage = auspicious event = must be given by a functional benefic Dasha–Antardasha pair.

D-4 Lagna: Aries (same Aries Lagna group — very early natal degrees)

Saturn Vimshottari Dasha running (Jupiter Dasha ended ~2010 November)

Verdict: Saturn Dasha will definitely take this person abroad, possibly to multiple countries. However, because Saturn is a functional malefic (not a benefic), he will NOT settle down permanently. Expect visits and short-to-medium stays, not permanent residence abroad.

[!WARNING] When the Dasha planet taking someone abroad is a functional malefic, expect instability of residence, frequent movement, going back and forth — NOT settling down and prospering abroad. All these planets simultaneously transiting the 7th house from the Chara Dasha sign = extraordinary confluence for foreign travel.

[!IMPORTANT] Participant confirmed: The doctor was indeed planning to come to the US around May 22, 2011 — right within this transit window. The analysis was done in ~March 2011, approximately two months before the planned arrival.

Additional confirmation: Saturn in Pisces (12th house from Libra) during this period, as Badhaka lord in the 12th house = further indication of departure from home.

Verdict: Going to US in the Saturn D-4 Vimshottari period + Libra Chara Dasha period is perfectly supported. The move is good for him. He may travel extensively (Saturn nature) rather than settle permanently.

D-4 Vimshottari Dasha at February 1, 1999: Saturn MD, Mars AD

Saturn (12th) and Mars (9th) are in Samsaptaka (7th from each other). Together they show 9th+12th house energy = going abroad. Their Antardasha–Mahadasha together activating this is a "very straight case."

D-9 Seventh House Link to D-4 Twelfth House {#wife-link}

The teacher uses this chart to demonstrate the rule: When someone goes abroad because of marriage, look for a link between D-9's 7th house and D-4's 12th/9th house.

The same two planets (Saturn and Rahu) that are the D-9 7th lords (marriage) are also the D-4 12th lords (foreign travel) occupying Gemini. This is why going abroad is linked to marriage.

Concept: When the D-4 Chaturthamsa is the chart of interest (residence/foreign), taking the D-4 as the base "Rasi chart" and finding the Navamsa within the D-4 = blessings in the domain of residence. Finding the Trimsamsa within D-4 = weaknesses/problems in the domain of residence.

2. Antardasha lord's transit: Similarly, the Antardasha lord's transit from the relevant divisional chart position may be significant. Good research area but no consistent rules confirmed.

Sub-Divisional Chart Navamsa = Blessings

Taking any divisional chart D-M, find the Navamsa within it (D-M × D-9) = the blessings in that life domain. Trimsamsa within it (D-M × D-30) = vulnerabilities. Planetary positions reliable; Lagna not reliable unless birth time is within seconds.
