[!IMPORTANT] Why does longevity appear in Karakamsha readings? It reflects the soul's desire for a long life, not physical longevity per se. Shankaracharya and Vivekananda died young because their souls did not define themselves by longevity — dharma came first. A strong 8th from KS means the soul aspires to a long life.

Which chart to use? Parashara says Swāṃśa (the amsa itself). Most appropriate divisional chart = Trimsamsa (D30) — the chart showing suffering and death-related matters.
