Gist: Two charts: (1) Sri Vidya (female, b. May 29, 1994, Secunderabad) — an 18-year-old engineering student who received a marriage proposal; analysis shows the current Rahu-Jupiter period is not conducive for marriage, and the prediction is marriage in 2017 in Mercury Antardasha; (2) A 20-year-old male mechanical engineering student (b. Jul 8, 1992, Hyderabad) struggling with grades but carrying an excellent Siddhamsha Raja Yoga (Mercury-Venus both exalted, in samsaptaka) that will produce outstanding results in Mercury Dasha from age 43 onward. Also: further refinement of the corrected Siddhamsha D24 calculation for even-sign planets.

Chart 1 — Sri Vidya: Marriage Proposal Analysis {#chart1-srividya}

Assessment of Rahu-Jupiter period for marriage:

"Though he's Lagna lord, but he's debilitated in the seventh house... I won't really recommend, uh, just get married now. It may or may not be a great decision." — PVR

Jupiter as 7th lord from the Dasha lord Rahu is in the 8th house — not a clean marriage indicator. While it can technically give marriage (7th lord and Lagna lord in family house from regular Lagna), the debilitation and 8th placement argue against recommending it.

PVR carefully separated advice (what to do) from prediction (what will happen):

Advice: Do not marry now. Continue studies. If the boy is willing to wait until approximately 2016–2017, the relationship can be kept open. Be prepared, however, that the boy may not be willing to wait that long and it may not ultimately work out — in which case someone else will come at the right time.

Prediction: Marriage will likely occur in 2017 or 2018, during the Rahu-Mercury Antardasha when Mercury (Navamsa 7th lord in Lagna) is activated.

"There's no harm in asking, saying that she can get married to that person if she's interested, if she likes the person, but not now." — PVR

Current Year Chart (2012) — Not Showing Marriage

Conclusion for 2012: Lagna and 7th house both afflicted in this year's Navamsa chart. Marriage clearly not indicated.

Next Year Chart (2013–14) — Slight Possibility

• Ruler of year: Saturn
• Saturn in 2013 Navamsa: if Lagna is correct (tight margin of ~48 seconds), Saturn could be 7th lord in 7th house — a clear marriage indicator
• But: Lagna lord Moon is afflicted by Rahu, the 8th lord
• Verdict: Some chance, but not guaranteed; birth time margin makes it uncertain

Tithi Pravesh Annual Chart for 2016-17 {#tithi-pravesh-2017}

PVR examined the 2016–17 Tithi Pravesh (annual solar return based on Sun-Moon angle) to confirm 2017 as the marriage year.

Key Indicators in 2016-17 Tithi Pravesh

"Lagna and seventh house have several Raja Yogas. Fourth lord, ninth lord, seventh lord, Lagna lord — basically all the quadrant lords and then ninth lord are on the second, seventh house axis." — PVR

Tithi Pravesh Dasha for February–March 2017: Saturn Dasha activates in February–March. Saturn is Yoga-karaka in the 7th house in the Rashi chart of this annual, and Saturn is the Lagna lord in the Navamsa aspecting Lagna. Saturn Antardasha of Mercury in natal Vimshottari may also coincide.

February second half and March first half of 2017 is the strong prediction window for marriage. Additionally, Mahamuhurtas (auspicious wedding periods) fall in this timeframe.

Foreign Settlement Prediction for Sri Vidya {#foreign-settlement}

PVR also noted strong indicators for foreign relocation in Rahu Dasha:

"I expect that irrespective of who she gets married to, I expect that in the next few years, basically before Rahu Dasha ends, I expect her to move abroad — in the Rahu-Saturn period." — PVR

Most likely period for foreign relocation: Rahu-Saturn Antardasha (alternatively Rahu-Jupiter is possible as Jupiter is 12th in Rashi).

Chart 2 — Mechanical Engineering Student {#chart2-student}

Birth Details

Background

• Chart analyzed in a previous class — mechanical engineering was suggested
• He followed the recommendation, now in 3rd year mechanical
• Current problem: works very hard but gets low grades; poor test performance
• Current Dasha: Jupiter (till 2018)

Rashi Chart Analysis

Jupiter Dasha for Aquarius Lagna:

Conclusion: Jupiter Dasha is not the best period for academic success. This is not cause for alarm — "there are people who do average and then they take off when the time comes."

Saturn Dasha (2018–2037): Major improvement expected

• Saturn is Lagna lord + 12th lord for Aquarius = functional benefic
• Saturn is in 12th house in own sign → Vipreet Raja Yoga (reversal from difficulty to rise)
• Only Mercury aspects Saturn (6th lord aspecting 12th) → does not break the yoga
• Saturn is retrograde → extra effort required before rewards come, but rewards are real

Corrected Siddhamsha D24 — Even Sign Rule Revisited {#corrected-siddhamsha}

This class contains PVR's most explicit explanation of the corrected Parasara Siddhamsha rule to date.

Standard (Incorrect) Calculation

For odd signs: start from Leo, count forward (Leo → Virgo → … → Cancer → Leo → …), 24 divisions For even signs (old method): start from Cancer, count forward (Cancer → Leo → Virgo → … → Gemini → Cancer → …)

Problem: The even-sign sequence going forward from Cancer produces an asymmetric result — no mirror symmetry with the odd-sign sequence.

Corrected Calculation (PVR's New Method)

For even signs: start from Cancer, count backward (Cancer → Gemini → Taurus → Aries → … → Leo, then repeat)

This creates a perfect mirror image between odd and even signs at the Cancer-Leo axis. It is consistent with Parasara's explicit statement that "reckoning is reverse for even signs."

"This is a perfect mirror image of the other one. It is structurally sound, and it makes sense with the wording Parasara said, and it explains things better." — PVR

Impact on the Student's Chart

Only Mercury changed position in this correction (Mercury was in an even sign in the Rashi chart):

"So only Mercury changes from Libra to Aries." — PVR

After correction: Mercury is now in Aries in D24, and Venus remains in Libra (10th house from Lagna). Both are exalted in their respective positions, creating a Raja Yoga between Lagna lord and 5th lord, both exalted, in samsaptaka (7th from each other).

Application to Other Divisional Charts

PVR notes this correction logically applies to other Calcrsha-type divisional charts as well (including Dashamsha, etc.) for planets in even signs. However, he has not yet fully verified all implications and retains the older method for other charts until further research confirms the pattern.

Career Arc — Dashamsha and Siddhamsha Analysis {#career-arc}

Dashamsha (D10) Analysis

The Mercury-Venus Raja Yoga in D24 Siddhamsha

This Raja Yoga — both Lagna lord and 5th lord exalted and in mutual 7th-house aspect — is described by PVR as "a really perfect yoga. It's not really blemished."

"From then [Mercury Dasha starting ~2037], a period of seventeen years, forty-three to sixty. That'll be like the golden period. Mercury Dasha will be an awesome period for him. And particularly Mercury-Venus, whenever it comes, 2040–2043 timeframe, that'll be like a pinnacle in the career." — PVR

D24 Siddhamsha Jupiter Dasha Assessment

Jupiter in D24: 9th lord in 3rd house (Mangal Ka Sthana), aspecting his own sign (9th house). 9th lord = house of higher education and bachelor's studies. His own sign aspecting from the 3rd house = his energy is there but from a difficult angle. Result: studies continue and degree completes, but not without friction.

Current Antardasha progress:

"Towards the end of next year, things will improve. 2014 will be a good year for him, for studies." — PVR

Advice: Maintain confidence. Do not give up or drop out. "Things will work out. I have to keep slogging and then eventually things will work out."

Internship Timing (Summer 2013) {#internship}

The student wants to try for an internship in summer 2013 (end of Jupiter-Sun Antardasha).

Siddhamsha 10th House Analysis (Learning Through Work)

From the 10th house (work) in D24 as Lagna:

• Lagna lord Mars + 5th lord Sun are in the 11th house of gains
• 1st and 5th lords together in the 11th is a strong yoga
• This shows great practical learning at the workplace

Dashamsha Confirmation

From 4th house (learning) in D10 as Lagna:

• Sun = 12th lord in 6th house (from 4th as Lagna) — good placement (12th in 6th removes exile/loss)
• Sun with 10th lord Jupiter in D10 — links work and learning

Verdict: Good chance of getting a strong internship. The Siddhamsha shows more learning than actual work — this will be primarily a learning experience, which is exactly what an internship should be.
